NBA Betting Tips Thursday 21st November
Golden State Warriors at Dallas Mavericks (11.30am AEDT)
The Warriors picked up just their third win of the season on Wednesday as they defeated the Memphis Grizzlies on the road. They currently sit last in the Western Conference with a 3-12 record through their opening 15 games and are still ravaged by injuries.
D’Angelo Russel, Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Kevon Looney remain on the sidelines for the Warriors, giving them a starting line-up resembling a G-League team. They’ll be up against a hot Dallas team that has won their last two games in a row on the back of dominant Luka Doncic performances.
Doncic racked up 42 points, 12 assists and 11 rebounds in the seven point win over the Spurs at home on Tuesday and the Mavericks will once again start as heavy favourites at home against the Warriors. Tough spread to call, but the Warriors showed some heart in their win over the Grizzlies. We like them as a double digit underdog here.
Houston Rockets at Denver Nuggets (1pm AEDT)
The Rockets and Nuggets currently sit in second and third place respectively in the Western Conference. Houston have won their last eight games in a row and have an 11-3 record on the season. Star shooting guard James Harden has been on fire through the opening stretch of the season, averaging a ridiculous 39.2 points per game.
The Nuggets have a 9-3 record and have won their last two games in a row. Their offence has been on song over their last few games and they put up 131 points against the Grizzlies on the road in their last clash. Jamal Murray went off for 39 points in the win.
Love the Rockets here as underdogs on the road. They have been dominant over their 8 game winning streak and get a 2.5-point head start on Thursday. They were massive winners in their last game against the Nuggets, beating them by 27 points as Harden dropped 38.
Boston Celtics at Los Angeles Clippers (2pm AEDT)
The game of the day sees the Los Angeles Clippers hosting the Boston Celtics from 2pm. The Celtics currently sit atop the Eastern Conference with an 11-2 record. They bounced back from their second loss of the season to beat the Suns on the road on Tuesday, winning by 14 points as Jayson Tatum dropped 26 points.
The Clippers put up 150 points on the Hawks on Sunday, winning by a whopping 49 points and backed it up with another strong home performance on Tuesday against the Thunder, winning by two points. Kawhi Leonard sat out the win against OKC but should be back in the starting line-up for Thursday.
Like the look of the Clippers here as 5-point favourites at home. With Paul George now back in the line-up and Kawhi Leonard set to suit up on Thursday, the Clippers should be incredibly tough to beat at home, where they have the best record against the spread in the league, at 6-2-1.
