There’s another fantastic seven-game slate in the NBA this Thursday, the 14th of November, headlined by the intriguing clash between the Rockets and Clippers from 11.30am.
We have a full preview and betting tips for some of the key games of the day below.
NBA Betting Tips Thursday November 14th
Memphis Grizzlies @ Charlotte Hornets (11am AEDT)
The Grizzlies come into this game off a shock win over the Spurs last time out. Led by sophomore Jaren Jackson (24 points), the Grizzlies were able to hold off the veteran Spurs to record their third win on the season. Dillon Brooks was a great sidekick with his 21 points, while #2 pick Ja Morant was quiet with nine points and three assists.
The Hornets have turned a few heads this season with four wins already next to their name. They have lost their last three however, which makes this home game against a fellow battling team a must win. Last time out the Hornets were beaten 106-114 by the Sixers despite a 24-point performance from big man Cody Zeller.
This isn’t the sexiest of matchups, but we believe we’ve found some value in the player markets with young guard Devonte Graham being our focus. Graham is fourth in the league for points off the bench with 17.9 per game and has posted 35, 15, 24 and 19 in his last four. His minutes continue to increase and so do his shot attempts, so we see him scoring 15+ points again on Thursday.

Los Angeles Clippers @ Houston Rockets (11:30am AEDT)
The game of the day sees the Clippers travel to Houston to take on the Rockets. The Clippers have been able to hold down the fort while Paul George recovers from injury with seven wins from 10 games so far this season. George is due to make his season and Clippers debut on Friday against the Pelicans, which leads us to believe Kawhi Leonard will feature in this Thursday clash with the Rockets.
The Rockets look to be gelling a lot better now with four wins in a row. Their defence has tightened up a lot during this stretch, which was more than necessary to ensure long-term success. James Harden continues to lead the way on offence for the 7-3 Rockets with season averages of 37 points and eight assists on 30% shooting from deep.
The Clippers have been solid without being great through their first 10 games, but we suspect they’ll need to be great to beat the Rockets on the road in this one. Houston are firing on all cylinders now that Harden has found his stroke and we expect them to claim their fifth win on the spin.

Golden State Warriors @ Los Angeles Lakers (2pm AEDT)
It’s been a very tough season for the once great Warriors who are now an equal league worst 2-9 this season. The blowout losses seem to have come to an end at least with the Warriors being far more competitive over the past couple of weeks. Now with Russell firing and Green now seemingly back in the rotation, maybe now is the time for the Warriors to claim a few scalps.
The Lakers enter their second game of a back-to-back after taking care of the Suns in Phoenix on Wednesday. It was always going to be a tricky encounter against the now 6-4 Suns who have been playing inspired basketball this season. The Lakers found a way to get it done down the stretch and now move to an 8-2 record, which leads all comers in the Western Conference.
The Lakers enter this clash with the Warriors as huge favourites and rightly so. However, being on the second night of a back-to-back against a club you expect to beat easily is sometimes one of the hardest tasks in the NBA. There’s also the potential for the sore Anthony Davis to sit for rest, as well as a backdoor spread cover with the line being so big. All in all, we believe the Warriors pose a genuine threat here and are capable of covering the spread despite being on the road.
