NBA Betting Tips Tuesday 26th February
Golden State Warriors at Charlotte Hornets (11am AEDT)
The Golden State Warriors will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing home loss to the Houston Rockets on Sunday when they travel to Charlotte to take on the Hornets. The Warriors maintain the best record in the Western Conference by just 1.5 games over the Denver Nuggets but they have looked less than convingcing in their last few tilts as they defeated the Kings by just two points prior to losing to the Rockets.
The Hornets have been inconsistent of late, winning five of their last 10 games but suffering some disappointing losses to the likes of the Mavericks, Magic and Nets along the way. they currently hold onto eighth spot in the Eastern Conference by the thinnest of margins over the Orlando Magic and will look to continue their great home form this season sees them 20-10 in Charlotte.
The WArriors start as seven point favourites here which we think might be a little high given their last few games. The Warriors have the worst record against the spread in the entire NBA at just 24-32-1 while the Hornets maintain a respectable 15-12-1 against the spread at home.
Philadlephia 76ers at New Orleans Pelicans (12pm AEDT)
The Sixers suffered a tough loss to the Trail Blazers at home on Sunday and will be looking to bounce back on the road against the New Orleans Pelicans. Unfortunately, they'll be without their star centre Joel Embiid for the clash, who is dealing with knee soreness. The 76ers sit fourth in the Eastern Conference standings with a 38-22 record but are just 2-4 when Embiid has been our of the line-up.
The Pelicans have been lost since the All-Star break and while they didn't end up trading star centre Anthony Davis, they may as well be without him as he continues to play limited minutes. The Pelicans are currently 27-34 and have lost three of their five games since the All-Star break and sit 12th in the Western Conference.
The bookmakers are placing a lot of stock in the absence of Joel Embiid here, as the Pelicans start as 1.5 point favourites at home. However, we think the 76ers bounce back after the tough loss to the Blazers and win as underdogs here.

Los Angeles Lakers at Memphis Grizzlies (12pm AEDT)
The Lakers have had some fantastic wins over the last few weeks but have also suffered some uncharateristic losses. They defeated the Celtics by one point and the Rockets by five points in nationally televised thrillers, but have also lost to the Hawks and Pelicans over that time. They currently sit 10th in the Western Conference and will likely need to win around 16 out of their 23 to make the playoffs.
The Memphis Grizzlies look to be in full blooded tank mode in their two games since the All-Star break. After trading away star centre Marc Gasol, the Grizzlies have lost to the Clippers and Cavaliers in their two games since the break and overall, have lost 7 of their last 10.
The Lakers are on the road here but with so much on the line in the run home to the playoffs, we can't see them losing to a team in Memphis that really has no intention of winning games. Star Grizzlies guard Mike Conley could also be out with knee injury so the Lakers should cover here.
