The 2018-19 NBA season continues on Saturday, the 10th of November with a tasty seven-game slate set to play out. There are plenty of exciting games taking place with some serious value on offer, headlined by the Boston Celtics at Utah Jazz match-up. So without further ado, we present our previews and best bets for the day’s value games. Good luck if following!
NBA Betting Tips Saturday 10th November
Boston Celtics at Utah Jazz (1:30pm AEDT)
The Celtics will travel to Utah for their second leg of a back-to-back after playing in Phoenix on Friday. Boston trailed by 16 points with just six minutes on the clock against the Suns, but were able to rally back and force overtimes, which they would take full advantage of on their way to a victory. That win took their season record to 7-4, which has them in third position in the Eastern Conference with a few tough games coming up.
The Jazz have had a really disappointing start to the season, but were able to get back on the winners list in their last time out, defeating the Mavericks by 15 points at home. Utah now hold a record of 5-6, which is only good enough for ninth position in the Western Conference. They’ll be looking to get their record back to .500 by defeating the Celtics on Saturday, before heading off on a big five-game road trip.
On paper this one looks to be a really good match-up, with both teams expected to be near the top of their respective conferences when the regular season comes to an end. With the Celtics playing their second leg of a back-to-back and the Jazz needing a win to get their season rolling, we’re going to give the Jazz the nod here.

Charlotte Hornets at Philadelphia 76ers (11am AEDT)
The Hornets have been able to take advantage of a soft draw to start the season on their way to a 6-5 start, which has them sitting in sixth position in the Eastern Conference standings. Kemba Walker is having a career year so far, averaging an impressive 28 points and six assists per contest. However, if the Hornets are going to push for a playoff spot this season they’re going to have to get a reliable second option on offence.
The Sixers were finally able to get that elusive road win on Thursday when they outplayed the Pacers on their home deck from start to finish. More importantly, the Sixers now hold a positive record of 7-5 and sit in a familiar position of fourth in the Eastern Conference standings. Joel Embiid continues to impress on his way to 28 points and 12 rebounds a night, but will need more help from Ben Simmons (14 points, nine rebounds, eight assists), who is down on his stellar rookie season form.
We feel that the Sixers road win will be the start of a run that has them push towards the top of the Eastern Conference standings. They will be itching to build a win streak and we feel like this is a perfect opportunity to get some momentum going.

Washington Wizards at Orlando Magic (11am AEDT)
The Wizards have been the most disappointing team of the new NBA season by far. After 10 games they hold a dismal 2-8 record, which includes plenty of embarrassing blowout losses. They’ve lost six of their last seven games, with their last one being a 19 point loss to the young and inexperienced Mavericks. The Wizards are going to need to turn their season around sooner rather than later if they’re going to be in the mix at the end of the regular season.
The Magic have had a rather inconsistent season, which we expect from a relatively young roster. They currently sit in 10th position in the Eastern Conference with a 4-7 record. Interestingly, two of their wins have come in games where they’ve gone in as huge underdogs, the first being against the Celtics and the second against the Spurs. They’ll be looking to build on those performances and try and make their way up the standings.
We’re very surprised to see the Wizards come into this one as favourites on the back of their horrific 2018-19 form. They haven’t proven that they’re up for the fight this season, so we’re happy to oppose them at generous odds until they prove otherwise.
