We are 6-0 in our last two days of NBA betting tips and we’ll look to continue our great form as we preview some of the key games in the NBA’s eight game slate this Tuesday, the 9th of January.
Milwaukee Bucks at Indiana Pacers (11am AEDT)
Fresh off topping the first ballots for the all-star game votes, the new ‘most popular player in the world’ Giannis Antetokounmpo and his Bucks will travel to Indiana to take on the Pacers on Tuesday. The Bucks currently have a 21-17 record on the season and will could put some real pressure on the top four Eastern Conference seeds with a win here.
The Pacers sit just below the Bucks with a 20-19 record and will be buoyed by the return of potenail all-star Victor Oladipo, who slotted back into the Pacers side against Chicago on Sunday, dropping 23 point in the process. Oladipo has been massive for the pacers all season, averaging almost 25 points per game and has been rewarded for his success with a high showing on the first all-star vote ballot.
Really tough game to call here, if Oladipo was still injured we’d have absolutely no issue tipping the Bucks but with him back in the squad, and the home field advantage, we have to side with the Pacers. The Bucks have an average 8-10 record away from home this year while the Pacers are 21-18 against the spread.

Cleveland Cavaliers at Minnesota Timberwolves (12.10pm AEDT)
The Cavs will travel to Minnesota on Tuesday to take on the Wolves in the game of the day. The Cavs have been pretty lacklustre of late, winning just five of their last 10 games and going down by 14 points to the Celtics last week. The return of Isaiah Thomas from injury will definitely bolster the Cavs, with the former Celtic set to be in the Cleveland line-up nightly from now on.
The Wolves continue to go about their business in the West, currently sitting 4th in the conference with a 25-16 record. They have won seven of their last 10 games and boast a dominant 14-6 record at home. Starting PG Jeff Teague remains on the sidelines with a knee injury, but the Wolves have hardly missed a beat in his absence.
It will be the Wolves 3rd game in four days here while the Cavs have played just one game in the last four days. The Cavs have the worst record against the spread in the league, which has saw their line slowly creep down throughout the season, with Isaiah Thomas back in the line-up for this one and the Wolves running on tired legs, we like them to win and cover a small line here.
TIP: Cleveland -1.5 - $1.95 at Sportsbet
Denver Nuggets at Golden State Warriors (2.30pm AEDT)
The Warriors have been through their fair share of injury concerns so far this season, however, it hasn’t stopped them from rocketing to the best record in the league, winning their last four games and eight of their last 10. At 32-8, the Warriors have weathered injuries to Steph Curry, Kevin Durant and Draymond Green, but all are a chance to play in Tuesday’s game against the Nuggets.
The Nuggets have had their own injury concerns this season, with Paul Millsap missing the bulk of the season and not expected to return until after the all-star break. They have managed to stay inside the top eight in the West on the back of some great play by Nikola Jokic and Will Barton.
The Warriors start as 11.5 point favourites for this game, which is probably about right given their home record which currently stands at 15-5. However, against the spread, the Warriors are just 19-21 on the season and 9-11 at home. We think the Nuggets can cover a high line here, especially with the potential of a few key Warriors to be out of the line-up.
TIP: Denver +11.5 - $1.95 at Sportsbet
