We hit on 2 out of 3 bets in Saturday’s NBA betting tips to continue our decent run of form. We’ll look to carry it over to this Tuesday as we preview some of the key games in the NBA’s seven game slate.
Milwaukee Bucks at Indiana Pacers (11am AEDT)
We tipped the Pacers to earn a win over the Bucks at home on Saturday which came to fruition and the two teams will meet again this Tuesday in Indiana once again. The Pacers have now won their last two games and sit fourth in the Eastern Conference, which is a great result considering many picked them to be one of the worst teams in the league at the start of the season.
The Bucks trailed the 76ers by over 20 points at one stage in their clash on Monday, however, some great play by all-star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo helped the Bucks claw back into the game and eventually take a great eight-point win at home.
The Pacers will start as three-point favourites at home here, and we think they cover the small line. The Bucks will be exhausted on the second night of a back to back after a hard-fought game against the 76ers and will have to back it up on the road.
TIP: Indiana Pacers -3 - $1.95 at Sportsbet
Detroit Pistons at Cleveland Cavaliers (11am AEDT)
Interesting matchup here as the Cavaliers host the Pistons from 11am. The Cavs will be looking to avoid their third loss in a row, after they went down to the Nuggets at home on Saturday. They currently sit in third place having lost four of their last ten games and are in serious danger of dropping out of the top four as they lead the Pacers and the Wizards by just one game.
The Pistons sit just outside the top eight in the Eastern Conference, having won just two of their last 10 games. They are now five games behind the Heat in eighth place and will need something special to happen to play playoffs this season.
Tough game to call here, the Cavs haven’t looked great in since the all-star break but if there’s been one team with worse form than them in the Eastern Conference it’s been the Pistons! We think the Cavs can bounce back here behind LeBron James and cover a 7-point line.
TIP: Cleveland Cavaliers -7 - $1.95 at Sportsbet
Boston Celtics at Chicago Bulls (12pm AEDT)
The Celtics will look to bounce back after a tough loss to the Houston Rockets on Sunday. After leading for the majority of the game, the Celtics couldn’t get the job done against the red-hot Rockets and will continue their road trip on Tuesday as they travel to Chicago.
After a promising start to the year, the Bulls seem to have gone into tank mode since the All-Star break. They have won just three of their last ten games but will be coming off a good win over Dallas on Saturday. Its definitely a rebuilding year for the Bulls, so expect the Celtics to be more fired up for this clash as they attempt to reclaim the top seed in the East.
The Celtics start as 9-point favourites here, and without any injury concerns to speak of at the moment, we have to side with them at that line, even away from home. Chicago will be without Robin Lopez so expect the Boston bigs to have a field day.
TIP: Boston Celtics -9 - $1.95 at Sportsbet
