Massive 3-0 day in our NBA betting tips on Tuesday to make for a profitable day. We’ll be looking to continue our hot run of form this Thursday, the 25th of January as we preview some of the key games of the day and give our tips below.
Chicago Bulls at Philadelphia 76ers (11am AEDT)
The Bulls suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Pelicans on Tuesday after two overtimes. The four-point loss handed us a win as the Bulls managed to cover the six-point line, improving their season record against the spread to an impressive 29-16-2, the second best record in the league.
The 76ers have won seven of their last ten games as they attempt to reach the playoffs for the first time in six seasons. Young stars Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons have been dominating for the 76ers in the past month few weeks and Embiid in particular has been rewarded with his first all-star selection.
Tough game to call here as the Bulls have been super competitive of late but have just failed to get the results. The 76ers start as 5 point favourites, which we think is a little low given they are at home and have been playing great lately. They have a 24-19 record against the spread this season and Chicago are coming off a tough double overtime game a few days ago, back Philly to cover here.
TIP: Philadelphia 76ers -5 - $1.95 at Sportsbet
Minnesota Timberwolves at Portland Trailblazers (2.10pm AEDT)
The Timberwolves continued on their winning ways on Tuesday, defeating the Clippers by eight points as Andrew Wiggins exploded for 40 points. The Wolves showed that they can remain competitive despite missing star guard Jimmy Butler through injury and now sit 3rd in the Western Conference with a 31-18 record.
Portland suffered a tough 3-point loss in Denver on Tuesday. They are in a tight battle with multiple other teams for the last few spots in the Western Conference playoffs and have won six of their last ten games to remain relevant. After being snubbed two years in a row, Damian Lillard has finally earned an all-star nod after averaging 25 and 6 through the first half of the season.
The Blazers start as 2.5 point favourites at home and given the Wolves are a top three seed in the West, they have an ordinary 12-12 record away from home. Jimmy Butler is also still in doubt for the clash, so we think the Blazers can cover the small line here.
TIP: Portland -2.5 - $1.95 at Sportsbet
Boston Celtics at Los Angeles Clippers (2.30pm AEDT)
The Celtics continue their West Coast road trip this Tuesday as they face the Clippers from 2.30pm. Boston lost the first of the trip against the Lakers on Monday in a tight 1-point game. Apart from the obvious absence of Gordon Hayward, the Celtics are fully fit for what seems to be the first time all season, and have won seven of their last ten games.
While Boston is fully fit, the Clippers are far from it with DeAndre Jordan, Danilo Gallinari, Austin Rivers and Patrick Beverly all set to miss Thursday’s game. With all of the injuries, the Clippers have lost their last two games and have slid outside of the top eight in the Western Conference.
The Celtics start as 2.5 point favourites for the clash away from home, but they are on the second night of a back to back after a loss to the Lakers. The Clippers will be on a full days rest and Blake Griffin is in some great form at the moment, we like them to get the win here.
TIP: LA Clipper to win - $2.18 at Ladbrokes
