The NHL season continues this Tuesday, 22nd November (AEDT). Fox Sports, as usual are showing the prime time game on FoxSports4, see our betting tips and preview for the game, and some other key matchups below.
Minnesota Wild at Dallas Stars (12.30pm AEDT) Fox Sports 4HD
The Stars take on the Wild at American Airlines Center in Dallas on Tuesday afternoon. Dallas has started slow early in the season. Their defense hasn't been up to scratch, and have been allowing 3.37 goals per game, ranked 29th in the league. Along with inconsistent goaltending, Dallas are allowing over 30 shots on goal per game.
The Stars are coming off a home loss to the Oilers in a blowout game, the Oilers scored twice in the opening period which was to much to handle for the Stars to gain some type of momentum later in the game. They are 4-3-2 at home heading into this game and sit fifth in their division standings.
The Wild are coming off a loss at the hands of Colorado on home ice. The Wild were without Zach Parise on Saturday due to illness but should regain him come Tuesday.
The left winger hasn't performed as well as he would've liked but still is an important part of the team who has two goals and four assists in the season so far. The Wild’s defense has been impressive, they are ranked first for goals allowed, only allowing 1.88 goals per game. The main reason behind this is that they are fifth in penalty kill, with a percentage of 85%.
Devon Dubnyk is likely to start with a 7-6-1 record, alongside four shutouts to his name already.

New York Rangers at Pittsburgh Penguins (11.00am AEDT)
One vs Two in the Metropolitan division take on each other Tuesday Morning.
The home team Pittsburgh gained some type of composure after the 7-1 loss in DC, but it hasn't been as smooth as they like. The last two games have gone the distance to extra time. Pittsburgh were victorious over the Islanders but then lost to bottom placed Buffalo in a shootout that saw Buffalo survive 47 shots from the champs.
The Pens are 7-1-1 at home this season and are first in the shots on goals category. Crosby still leads the way for the Pens with 16 points from 12 goals and 4 assists.
New York's offence has been ridiculous this season, they are scoring over four goals a games with shots on goal under 30 per game. The Rangers have surprised many this season and seem to have a well disciplined team, only giving up 5.8 penalty minutes per game, which certainly makes it hard for teams to muster goals. JT Miller has been impressive with 17 points on 7 goals and 10 assists. Expect a physical game with this being the first contest for the year between these two clubs.

Tampa Bay Lightning at Nashville Predators (12.00 pm AEDT)
Tampa Bay have travelled well having won their last four games on the road.
When the Lighting are hot they can unleash an offence that hurts other teams very quickly. Kucherov and Stamkos lead the offence with nine goals between them and have over 20 points. The Lighting are averaging 3.2 goals per game and rank 2nd in power play percentage in the league. They allow 2.37 goals and are a great penalty kill team with a percentage of 85%.
Nashville will be hoping the Lighting are running out of gas as they are coming to the end of their road trip. The Predators are still trying to click, but still haven't found consistency. Nashville have been a lot better at home than away with a 5-1-1 record and have had the better of the lighting in the past. James Neal leads all scores with eight goals and Viktor Arvidsson has five assists.
