2015 PGA - WGC Cadillac Championship

When: Friday 6th March 2015 (first tee off at 3:00am AEDT)
Purse: $9,250,000 ($1,570,000 winner)
This is the first of four World Golf Championships to be played this year. Trump National Doral also known as “The Blue Monster” will host again this year. This redesigned “Beast” gave everyone a headache last year. Although I would expect a slight improvement in scoring as last year’s winning score of -4 under (Patrick Reed) was very low.
The field is as strong as we’ve seen this year including Aussie’s Adam Scott and Jason Day (world numbers 4 & 5) and with Rory McIlroy missing the cut last week at The Honda it has really opened up the market.
My strategy this week is to try and cover all bases. At 7,500 yards it is one of the longest on tour but that’s not all it’s also littered with hazards, tree lined fairways and strategically placed bunkers. So my first pick is a long hitting risk taker who plays well in this event.
Golf Betting Tips
Dustin Johnson was T4 last year and was 2nd in 2011. I can see his name atop the leader board come Monday morning. So that’s the “bomber” out of the way. My second pick is a completely different golfer.

Luke Donald is more of your “chess-it-around” guy, when he is on he is the straightest ball striker out there. If it wasn’t for a second round disaster last year he would’ve been right in the mix.

Webb Simpson also had trouble in his opening and second round last year but he seemed to have worked it out on Saturday and Sunday with back to back rounds of 70.

Thongchai Jaidee This guy just nevfer gets any respect. He has 21 tour wins and is no stranger to the winners circle. He finished T6 in this event last year and had a great final round of 68.
