2015 PGA – Greenbrier Classic Preview
Where: The Old White TPC, West Virginia
When: Thursday, July 2 (First tee off 9:00pm AEST)
Purse: $6,700,000
Can everybody remember back in 2010 when our very own Stuart Appleby shot a final round 59 to win the Greenbrier Classic by one shot? Appleby had three rounds in the 60’s and one in the 50’s and still only won this event by a singular shot. That’s unbelievable. My point is anything and everything can happen at this event.
Don’t count your chickens.
If your player happens to have the lead after three rounds or 54 holes of golf this weekend I would seriously consider laying off a portion or all of your player. No one has ever gone on to win the Greenbrier Classic when they hold the lead going into the final round. That’s unbelievable.
Louis Oosthuizen
He has 5 top 10’s and a 2nd so far this season. He has earnt a tad over $2 million in just 13 events for a nice ROI. In 2013 he shot 4 rounds in the 60’s here of 67,68,69,69 to finish a T17. Was charging home in the final round of the US Open to finish 2nd. In good form and still chasing a win.

Graham DeLaet
He has 3 top 10s and also finished 4th last week at the Travellers. Has also had good results here in 2012 he finished a T12 including a freakish 3rd round of 64. Has been close to winning a tournament in recent times.

Steven Bowditch
Is my value pick. He has rounds of sub 65 here at The Old White. He just needs to put it all together. Fantastic ball striker and is way over the odds at Betfair.
