Warwick Farm Racing Tips: Wednesday, July 31st 2024
Race 6: Vale Sue Hutchison Mile BM72 1600m – 3:10pm (AEST)
(5) Influential $2.30: 3YO out of The Autumn Sun who should have the ability here. Disappointing first up on the wet track, but has since had two trials and now gets James McDonald into the saddle which adds confidence. Draws well and has ran well previously on a wet track, but needs to get back to best form here to win. Looks the main hope in the field.
(1) Presser $5.00: 5YO who has been plain at his last three after winning over 1550m in this grade four back carrying top weight. Gets back to BM72 grade now and claims 3kg which puts him right back into a winning potential. Can go on the weather effected tracks, so must be considered.
(2) Sailor $6.00: 6YO gelding who has been racing against Presser for most of this prep and has had the better of him on a few occasions, but also been better at the weights. Claims 3kg here and has been racing respectfully. Will be around the mark again.
(5) Influential
$2.30 (1.5 Units)
Race 7: Exceedance @ Vinery Stud BM72 1300m - 3:45pm (AEST)
(10) Nightingale $3.00: 3YO filly who got the money over 1100m fresh on the heavy deck and looked to be kicking clear late which makes me think out to 1300m will be no problem now. Draws a nice gate and Tommy BERRY to steer is no slouch. Proven winner on the wet now and will only be fitter for this second up run. Looks the main danger.
(1) Ima Shelby $16.00/$3.70: 5YO gelding who gets a nice drop in grade after struggling in Open/84/78 grade and is now in a new stable. Comes into this will a handy trial win and gets a 3kg claim which puts him in nicely at the weights. Can play a role on his day and may be a knockout hope here.
(4) The Replicant $4.20: 5YO who has been knocking on the door all prep without that win. Drops back to BM72 grade now and has 4 seconds from 5 attempts over this trip and loves the heavy track. On the quick back up and is rock hard fit. Hard to beat?
(4) The Replicant
$4.20 (1.5 Units)
Race 8: Microphone @ Darley BM72 1000m – 4:20pm (AEST)
*SCRATCHED* (6) Outishka $8.00/$2.45: 4YO mare who has returned this prep in good order with a narrow defeat first up before knuckling down to score at Newcastle second up. Rises to BM72 grade now and gets in nicely at the weights with a 3kg claim. Jockey and Horse have a terrific record together and she goes well third up. Proven wet tracker and she looks capable to continue with her form at a nice price here.
(4) Lost $3.10: 3YO filly with J-Mac for Cummings. Dangerous combo and must always been respected. Returns today with two handy trials under her belt and is talented enough to win her. Draws a wide gate which is the only concern over 1000m. Will go well.
(1) No Statement $26.00/$5.50: Roughie of the field who can play a role on his day, but yet to see it this prep. Goes well on the heavy and 5 career wins are over this trip. Smokey on his day.
