Warwick Farm Racing Tips: Wednesday, February 5th 2025
Race 3: Asahi Super Dry BM72 – 1200m - 4:05pm (AEDT)
(1) Osman: Resuming 6YO who has a pretty tidy record with 10 wins from 32 career starts. He is proven first up and has a nice trial win under his belt leading into this. He loves 1200m and must be considered with the 3kg claim engaged and a handy draw.
(2) Super Bright: 6YO Mare who has been racing in much tougher company. Gets back to midweek racing now and should be hard fit. She rates well with Osmond in the saddle and gets a handy draw. Id expect to see her around the mark here. Happy to be on at the price.
(5) Winchester: The 3YO favourite in the race who gets a handy draw from pole and has been racing well. Third behind Rantan & Polyglot last time out which is handy enough form. He is still learning and only expect further improvement. One to watch.
(2) Super Bright E/W
$7.50/$2.00 (1u/2u)
Race 5: Ole Kirk First Yearlings BM78 - 2400m - 5:15pm AEDT
(1) Monarchs Brae: 6YO Gelding who is on the quick back up and gets back to midweek class after competing on Saturday. Four runs under his belt now and that includes a win and a second over 2000m in BM88 grade. Gets in well at the weights with Osmond in the saddle. Expect another bold run at the price.
(5) O’Ziggy: 4YO gelding who is also on the quick back up and was terrific in defeat on Saturday being beaten by the stable mate, Our Anchorage. Bjorn BAKER stable is flying and he was bullish on this fella last weekend, so expect them to be confident again here. Slight drift in the market, but deserves to be favourite.
(7) Investment: 4YO Mare who we tipped last Wednesday and she got us the chocolates. She rises in grade now, but gets 4.5kg off her back. Draws well and must be considered again.
(1) Monarchs Brae E/W
$10/$2.70 (1u/2u)
Race 6: Tab BM72- 1400m – 5:50pm AEDT
(1) Noble Conqueror: 5YO Gelding who won first up in this grade over 1300m and then has finished worse than midfield on his two other outings in BM78 grade. However, he has been finishing behind some handy types. Gets back to BM72 grade today and J-Mac gets back into the saddle. Draws well and must be considered.
(4) House Of Cards: Resuming 4yo Gelding who was fantastic last prep notching 2 wins from 3 outings. He has trialled twice leading into this and goes very well fresh. Loves this distance and looks to be one of the main dangers. Respect first up.
(5) It’s a Knockout: 4YO Mare who is also resuming after showing some class in her first preparation. She was classy in her most recent victory in Saturday Company at BM78 level. Tim Clark remains on top, and she goes well fresh. Sticky gate, but id expect her to get a handy sit up on the speed with some early gate speed. Goes well.
(5) It’s a Knockout
$3.80 (2 units)
