Warwick Farm Racing Tips - Australia Day 2023
Race 2
*SCRATCHED* (4) Mezidon was not let off the bridle last time when strung up on the rail behind horses all the way across the finish line. He’s drawn wide this time and will get his opportunity to demonstrate his ability.
(12) Wild Calm finds an easier race here after contesting a 250k maiden on the Gold Coast last start. She’s drawn well and will wear blinkers for the first time so should improve.
(9) The Englishman hasn’t had the best of luck to date and didn’t get very lucky with his barrier draw this time either. James Mcdonald should give him every chance so he can’t be ruled out
Race 6
(6) Zain’s Girl can capitalise off a strong tempo in this race and smoke the pipe on the rail from gate 1. She’ll have the most to give in the home straight it will just be a matter of whether she can get enough room.
(13) Petulant can lead this race and would be the top pick if there wasn’t so much pace drawn under her. If she gets to the front easily enough she can win.
(14) Silvanito is promising good things having improved each start in his short 4-start career. He’s been gelded and trialled nicely so expecting him to perform well.

Race 7
(1) Spirit Ridge is a talented horse and has finally been able to put it all together and win after a long drought. He can win again now that he’s in form and is drawn well for James Mcdonald in gate 2.
(4) Mission Phoenix is sure to perform well again having produced an incredible run of wins and placings this preparation. The key for him will be finding a spot early from the wide draw.
(2) Bonny Ezra will be the horse closing off strongly if the leaders go too hard throughout the race. That doesn’t look unlikely here with plenty of speed drawn all over the map. Consider.
