2024 AFL Round 6 Preview & Betting Tips
Sydney vs Gold Coast
Sunday 1:05pm AEST, 21st April, SCG
The opening fortnight of 2024 saw Damien Hardwick reinstate himself as one of the premier coaches in the competition after a short hiatus out of the game, by winning consecutive fixtures downing the Tigers then Crows, before struggling against two talented outfits the next block of two weeks.
Much like Sydney who took care of business against West Coast, they bounced back to record a convincing win against Hawthorn leaving them a chance to continue doing things in pairs this weekend at the SCG.
It’s poised to be a cracker of a contest with all eyes set to be dialled in on the engine room, with both sides carrying depth in their midfield stocks. Look out for Heeney butting heads with Anderson, Rowell going toe to toe with Warner and Miller taking on Rowbottom.
Match Prediction: The Swans in recent years have set out to make their home ground a fortress and for a travelling side it’s a daunting task facing the narrow wings that Sydney have become accustomed to, chopping sides up through their corridor use.
Expect an even contest for the most part but class to prevail when the whips are cracking and the games there to be won.

Noah Anderson 25+ disposals - Averaging 30 touches this year is off the charts numbers. Use this as a multi leg anchor you can help shape your bet around.
Sam Flanders 25+ disposals - Has quickly become a more recognisable name after being thrusted back, where he is able to put his skills to the test and be creative moving forward.
Isaac Heeney 25+ disposals - Continues to impress after being handed the keys to the Sydney midfield. Averaging 28 disposals all whilst hitting the scoreboard is the reason he holds Brownlow Medal favouritism.
Nick Blakey 20+ disposals - Much like Flanders, Blakey is one the Swans trust with ball in hand with his run and carry game something to behold. Should cover this line, especially with his kickout duties adding to the cause.
