With the advent of same game multi's in sports, it was only a matter of time before one of the Australian bookmakers adapted the feature for racing! As they so often are, Sportsbet were the first to the party as they launched their brand new 'Same Race Multi' feature, just in time for the Spring Racing Carnival!
Australian punters can now win big off relatively small stakes with the all new same race multi feature, which enables you to pick multiple horses to finish anywhere inside the top four to combine into one bet at increased odds.
The innovation allows punters more flexibility in their exotic bets. Instead of having to rely on their selections to fill up the first two, three or four places in a race, they might want to select only two horses to finish in the top four, which they are now able to do at Sportsbet.
How It Works:
Same race multis are available on all Australian and New Zealand thoroughbread races with at least six runners. The markets become available on race day, generally around 9.30am.
To place a same race multi, simply navigate your way to the race you want to bet on and above the runners, you'll see a tab titles 'Same Race Multi'. Click on that tab and you'll see a screen resembling the picture below, where you can make your selections for the same race multi.
From there, simply add up to four legs into your same race multi and watch the odds climb! Once you've finalised your multi, add it to your betslip and enter your stake.
FOR EXAMPLE, check out this lucky punter who absolutely cleaned up with the Sportsbet same race multi feature on Thursday at Moe. Granted, the tipster picked the first four, but the win helped him turned a measly $10 bet into a whopping $110,000 win!
