Rosehill Racing Tips: Saturday, October 12th 2024

Race 1: Midway BM72 1400m – 12:35pm (AEDT)

(2) Peace Officer $12.00/$3.40: 5YO who has been running nicely of late without winning. Rock hard fit and gets a 3kg claim for this. Ready to win again if he can get a handy run in transit.

(9) Treize $11.00/$3.30: 5YO Mare who ran on nicely last time out in similar company. Rises in trip now and gets a 2kg claim which puts her as another chance here. Proven over this trip and likes the dry track. Peaking third up now.

(16) Alabama State $2.80:  3YO colt who finished second over 1300m last start. Can only expect improvement out to 1400m now and draws a handy gate. Money has come early, so suggest he is the main danger.

TIP: NO BET

Race 2: Tab Highway Hcp Class 3 1500m – 1:10pm (AEDT)

(2) Wiggles $12.00/$3.60 7YO who hasn’t been all that far away of late and remains at class 3 level here, but gets a nice claim which puts him in 2.5kg better off this time round. Value pick.

(14) Hulu $8.50/$2.90: Long priced favourite here, but has shown enough of late to be a main danger. Draws a wide gate, so will need some luck, but hard fit for this.

(17) Ballinderry Sal $9.50/$3.20:  5YO Mare who returned with 2 wins in a row before being flat in her 2 runs since with some excuses. Prefer her on the wet, but some early market support here.

TIP: NO BET

Race 3: Vale John Nicholson BM88 2000m - 1:45pm (AEDT)

(1) Caboche $13.00/$3.10: 6YO Gelding who has been racing well in QLD and goes well over this trip. Gets back onto the good tack where he won 2 starts ago in BM90 grade. Slightly easier here and gets a 3kg claim which puts him at the same weight as when he won. Roughie of the day.

(6) Bear On The Loose $2.10:  5YO Gelding who ran well enough first up, but goes up to 2000m now which may be slightly too far as he looked to tire late LS. Too short for my likening, but definitely capable on his day.

(10) Fays Angels $27.00/$5.50: Duel acceptor for Friday night, but if she runs here with 49kg she can be a blow out hope here. Been running well enough.

LAY: (6) Bear On The Loose

(1) Caboche E/W

$13/$3.10 (1 Unit)

Race 4: Tab Gloaming Stakes 1800m – 2:20pm (AEDT)

(1) Swiftfalcon $2.60: Looking to make it three in a row here and demands respect of last start winning by more than 2L. Expect him to only improve out in distance. Proven third up and on the dry. The one to beat.

(2) Henlein $3.70: 3YO Colt who should be hard fit now for this run and ran on nicely last start at the valley behind a smart winner in Evaporate. Draws wide here, but with some luck should settle and will be launching late.

(5) Tenbury Wells $5.50: Another one looking to make it three in a row and has been winning in style both times. Drops back to 1800m now and gets back onto the dry track. Watch the market.

(1) Swiftfalcon

$2.60 (2.5 Units)

Race 5: Canadian Club Romand Consul Stakes 1200m – 2:55pm (AEDT)

(1) Coleman $3.50: 3YO colt who has been racing well against much tougher company. Drops back now and will only be fitter 3rd up.  Draws well and will again be hitting the line strongly. Keen to be on.

(2) Switzerland $6.50: 3YO colt who was flat first up after Waller was quite bullish on him. Has trialled since that run and looked handy enough. Happy to give another go at a price.

(4) Gatsby’s $4.80: Well supported in all runs this prep and tried hard last start to finish second. Rock hard fit now and I’m sure he will still have plenty of supporters.

(1) Coleman

$3.50 (2 Units)

Race 6: Tapp-Craig 1400m – 3:35pm (AEDT)

(2) Anode $3.50: 3YO Colt who was very good first up only narrowly beaten by Traffic Warden. Took on Group 1 class last start with set weights and that was a little too hard, but Traffic Warden still ran nicely for second there, so first up run has merit. Remains at 1400m now and should be fitter third up. Happy to have again.

(4) Stoli Bolli $8.50/$2.40: Impressive winner last start at the valley, so deserves a crack here. Watch for him late.

(6) Just Party $5.00: Well supported last start and was far from disgraced. Expect improvement off that run and drops back to 1400m now. Value pick.

(2) Anode

$3.50 (2 Units)

Race 7: Toyota Forklifts Hill Stakes 1900m – 4:10pm (AEDT)

(1) Pericles $4.00: terrific winner two back before running on gamely over 1800m last start. He had the sweats up which probably played a roll in his tiring late. Happy to forgive and have another crack.

(2) Royal Patronage $3.40: 6YO who stuck on nicely for third last start when Ceoulwulf and Tom Kitten came flying down the outside. Fitter again now and rises in trip. Can play another key role here.

(4) Kovalica $6.00: 5YO Gelding who should’ve finished closer last start when we were on him. Held up at a crucial stage which was costly. Unlikely to have won, but would’ve been much closer. Set weights now which may make this tougher, but a chance again.

TIP: NO BET

Race 8: Alan Brown Stakes 1400m– 4:50pm (AEDT)

(1) Lindermann $27.00/$6.30:  5YO gelding who is a group 1 winner and is unbeaten at this track. Prefer him a few runs in, but he has trialled twice leading into this so that helps. Draws wide, but if he jumps well and can get up on the speed hes a sniff at big odds.

(5) Semana $13.00/$3.60: Talented enough horse and is deserving a win, but has had minimal luck and hasn’t done herself any favours with getting caught wide and/or over racing. If things happen to go smoothly she wins this.

(11) Terra Mater $34.00: very impressive so far this prep. This is much tougher, but is worthy of a crack here and can be a nice blow out hope.

TIP: NO BET

Race 9: The Nivision 1200m – 5:25pm (AEDT)

(2) Roots $9.50/$2.80: 6YO Mare who ran well fresh behind terra Mater who is in terrific form. Drops back to 1200m where she is a 2 x winner and will only be fitter now. Value pick.

(3) Olentia $2.90: Resuming 5YO mare who is hard to beat when fresh. Also loves this distance and is proven on the dry track. Draws well and will be hard to beat.

(6) A Little Deep $6.00: 5YO Mare who is yet to miss the exacta this prep from 3 runs. Drops 2kg off last start and will be around the mark again.

TIP: NO BET

Race 10: Rosehill Bowling Club 1100m BM78 – 6:05pm (AEDT)

(5) Dollar magic $10.00/$2.50: Rarely runs a poor race this one and she goes well fresh. Returns off a handy trial win and will be a sniff here at a nice price.

(10) Pharari $1.90: Missed the start last time out which ended up being costly. Happy to forgive as she is a very talented mare. If she jumps, she wins. Draws the perfect gate.

(13) Confess Our Dreams $9.50/$2.60: 4YO who has nice early speed and if she can overcome the wide draw to dictate the race she will be hard to catch. Fitter now too.

TIP: NO BET
