Rosehill Gardens hosts a 10-race card on Saturday to headline racing in NSW. The first race commences at 11:30am AEST and the last concludes at 4:50pm AEST. The rail is out 7m for the entirety. Conditions are set to be SOFT. Watch and monitor.

Rosehill Gardens Racing Tips: Saturday, August 3rd 2024
Race 3: NSW Jockeys Association BM72 1200m– 12:40pm (AEST)
(2) Vivy Air $2.40: 4YO Mare who was well supported last week before being scratched on race day due to conditions. Resumes today with two nice trials where she hit the line nicely under a good hold. Gets right back in grade and back to 1200m where she is unbeaten. Both career wins have also come on the weather effected tracks along with a terrific first up record. James McDonald gets into the saddle and jumps off DIPSY DOODLE who looks the main danger in this affair. She draws low which is my only small concern as she tends to sit midfield and storm late, so will need a little luck if she happens to get buried, but only 9 runners, so should be okay and J-Mac knows how to steer them. Watch for her TOF late. Hard to knock fresh and back to 1200m in easier grade.
(1) Dipsy Doodle $7.50: 4YO who drops back in grade now and must be respected here. Peaks third up and is proven on the wet track. Expect her to jump to the front and try dictate the race. One of the main hopes.
(7) Cosmonova $6.50: 4YO mare who is a last start winner and is unbeaten from three attempts on the wet track. Rises in class now, but is hard fit and capable of going back-to-back. Watch the market.
(2) Vivy Air
$2.40 (2.5 Units)
Race 7: Jockeys Celebration Day BM78 1100m - 3:00pm (AEST)
(9) Spring Lee $3.00: Very talented 4YO mare who gets back into a nice grade and only needs to lug 56kg. Terrific on the wet track and Rachel KING knows her well. Draws a nice gate and expect to see her picking them up down the straight to score. Hard to go past on previous outings.
(10) Boston Rocks $7.00/$2.20: Early market support here and is a classy type. Tired late first up on the heavy track, so any track improvement will be nice for him here. Expect him to lead if he jumps and will be fitter second up.
(2) Munitions $23.00/$4.80: 9YO veteran who gets in nicely with a 3kg claim here and another one who can lead and dictate the race to his liking and can be hard to catch on his day. May need further, but worth thought at big odds.
(9) Spring Lee
$3.00 (1.5 Units)
Race 9: Congratulations Chris Waller BM94 1300m – 4:15pm (AEST)
(2) SIvka Burka $12.00/$3.50: 4YO mare who has returned this prep in good order with a narrow defeat first up before knuckling down to score at Newcastle second up. Rises to BM72 grade now and gets in nicely at the weights with a 3kg claim. Jockey and Horse have a terrific record together and she goes well third up. Proven wet tracker and she looks capable to continue with her form at a nice price here.
(1) Blaze A Trail $20.00/$5.00: Roughie of the field who gets in well at the weights with a 3kg claim. Goes well over this trip and is a going to improve second up. Finished off last prep sensationally and if we see that form again he will go close.
(3) Contemporary $3.60: Nash for Cummings, deadly combo, but no early market support is concerning. This horse is clearly talented, but would prefer him over a shorter sprint. Watch the market though for any support on race day.
