NBL Round 12 Betting Tips
NZ Breakers vs SE Melbourne Phoenix
Friday, 5:30pm AEDT
The Breakers were unlucky last week in their loss at home to Adelaide. Star guard Corey Webster was a late out and that absolutely killed their offence. They’re now 4-10 on the season and their finals hopes are looking grim. Meanwhile, Phoenix split their two games against Adelaide (L) and Cairns (W) and are now an even 7-7 on the season. The Breakers may not have the sexiest record in the world, but we expect them to stand strong on their home deck and collect a W here.
Adelaide 36ers vs Illawarra Hawks
Friday, 8:00pm AEDT
The Sixers were winners in both of their games last round and will be full of confidence going into this one. They’re now 8-7 on the season and find themselves in the top four for the first time in a while. On the other hand, the Hawks are the worst team in the competition and became even worse with the LaMelo Ball injury. It’s hard to see the Hawks winning any games at the moment and on their home floor, we predict easy pickings for Adelaide.
Adelaide 36ers -7.5

Brisbane Bullets vs Sydney Kings
Saturday, 5:30pm AEDT
The Bullets are one of the team struggling for consistency at the moment and come into this on a two-game losing streak. Last weekend it was the Wildcats who got the better of them, defeating them by eight points to turn their record into 6-9. Meanwhile, the Sydney Kings bounced back in a big way last weekend by defeating Melbourne United by 23 points. That win keeps them at the top of the ladder and we expect them to stay there with an easy win over Brisbane this weekend.
Perth Wildcats vs Melbourne United
Saturday, 8:00pm AEDT
The Wildcats backed up their impressive Round 11 with another two wins in Round 12 to make it four on the spin. They’re now clear second on the ladder and are definitely a contender for the title. Meanwhile, Melbourne United come off a round with split results having lost against the Kings before defeating the Hawks. All things considered, we expect this to be a really tight contest with each team having equal chances to win, so we have to take the extra points on off with Melbourne.
Melbourne United +3.5

Illawarra Hawks vs NZ Breakers
Sunday, 3:00pm AEDT
The Hawks are coming off yet another loss, this time to Melbourne United by 21 points in the Gong. The Hawks new imports failed to make a positive impact and they looked lost without Ball dominating the ball – so to speak. Meanwhile, the Breakers will be playing their second game of the weekend and have an excellent chance to grab a much-needed W here. We see them claiming it in our bet of the weekend.
Cairns Taipans vs Adelaide 36ers
Sunday, 5:00pm AEDT
The Taipans were the most disappointing side of Round 11 with their tow losses. We all expected them to do better than they did, however, losses to Wildcats and Phoenix really hurt their top four chances. Meanwhile, the Sixers, as mentioned above, were winners in both of their Round 11 matches and will be fuelled with confidence. Despite this fact, we have the Taipans, who have a far superior roster, clinching a much-needed win here on their home deck.
Cairns Taipans -3.5

Sydney Kings vs SE Melbourne Phoenix
Monday, 7:30pm AEDT
The last game of the round is probably the best. The Kings will come in on top of the ladder and with nothing to lose, while the Phoenix will be trying to do the near impossible in clinching a win on Sydney’s deck. There’s quite a lot of basketball to be played whilst writing this preview, but early days we have to lean towards the Kings to cover.
