What a fortnight of tennis it was at Wimbledon. Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer capped off a memorable tournament with one of the greatest finals of all time. For us, we made it 3/3 with our Grand Slam men’s predictions this year when The Joker saluted in five sets.
We now turn our attention to this week on the ATP Tour where there are three ATP 250’s underway. Newport (USA), Umag (Croatia), and Bastad (Sweden) are the locations where we’ll be looking to find some winners. ATP World Tour Betting Tips
Hall of Fame Open
Based in Newport, USA, the Hall of Fame Open is the first ATP 250 we’ll be picking the eyes out of. As you would imagine, there are plenty of American’s in the field, with John Isner leading the charge. #12 ranked Isner is the only top 40 player in the event, with #42 ranked Adrian Mannarino the second highest ranked player, and #44 ranked Jordan Thompson the third.
It’s a pretty weak field at Newport, it must be said. Of all the main hopes, Jordan Thompson stands out for us. He’s having a career best year and is soaring up the rankings. He’s avoided John Isner’s half of the draw which should give him a fairly easy run to the final. Happy to back him at really nice odds.

Croatia Open
The Plava Laguna Croatia Open is played on red clay courts in Umag. This year there’s an abundance of Italian players in the draw, seven to be exact, headlined by #10 ranked player Fabio Fognini. The other main hopes are #14 ranked Borna Coric, #35 Laslo Djere, and #36 Dusan Lajovic.
Being the clay court specialist he is, Fabio Fognini will start as favourite, while Borna Coric, also a handy clay courter, is the close second favourite. These two guys are head and shoulders above the rest of the field, and will likely each make deep runs, potentially meeting in the final. Of the two, it’s Borna Coric that has the easier draw. We’ll be taking him to reach the final at very generous odds.

Swedish Open
The Swedish Open is played in Bastad and is the third and final ATP 250 we’ll be making a play on this week. It’s the most open of the three by far with #34 ranked Cristian Garin the number one seed. Other notable players include Fernando Verdasco (#37) and last year’s runner-up, Richard Gasquet (#47).
The player that stands out for us here is Cristian Garin. He’s the number one seed and is an exceptional clay court player. He had a fantastic couple of months earlier in the year on the clay and there’s no reason why he can’t return to that sort of form in a weak field here. Happy to be on him at $7.50.
