The 2016 Four Nations continues this weekend and after a successful first week we return with our Week 2 Preview and Betting Tips.
England vs Scotland (Sunday, November 6th at 4.30am AEST)
Scotland were dismantled by the Kangaroos last week but that was never going to be a surprise. However, it could have been a lot worse if Australia didn’t go into cruise control after the 20th minute. The side will need to have a better start if they plan to be competitive against their rivals.
England suffered a one-point loss to the Kiwis and they put in a great performance and were unlucky to lose. The side was behind for the majority of the match but levelled the scores after a terrific tip on that ended in a try in the corner. Wayne Bennet has made an immediate impact on the side and they were strong defensively whilst they were composed in attack. The side will want to bounce back strongly to keep their chances of entering the final in a fortnight a live and to do so they will need a big victory against their Scottish opponents.

Australia vs New Zealand (Sunday, November 6th at 7am AEST)
The Australians put on a clinic against Scotland but they were sloppy at stages. Matt Moylan had a terrific debut for the Kangaroos but he won’t retain his spot in the starting side but there are reports he will be included as a utility ahead of Michael Morgan. The Panthers captain won the man of the match award and picked up four try assists. The Kangaroos will be at full strength and full of confidence after they have already defeated the Kiwis in two dominant matches earlier this season.
The Kiwis put on their best performance in close to two years and it was only just good enough to get over the line against the Englishmen. It took a field goal that sent social media into meltdown from Shaun Johnson but it was clear the halfback had slotted the ball between the posts.
The Kiwis will need their forward pack to step up if they are to get the victory this weekend. They have a huge and powerful side with two of the best forwards in the game in Jason Tuamalolo and Jesse Bromwich but they were overpowered in the previous meetings this season. Tuamalolo will need to get more time on the field whilst if they are able to get on the front foot it will give the halfback Johnson the room to move and attack against a defensive line that is on the back foot. The New Zealanders definitely are capable of an upset and they have produced big wins in tournaments similar to this one but the Australians are a superior side and we believe this will be a close contest that will fall the way of the Green and Gold.
