Randwick-Kensington Racing Tips: Friday, April 25th 2025
Race 4: Home Front BM78 – 1800m - 2:30pm (AEST)
(1) Collect Your Cash $2.90: 4YO Gelding who has been good in both his two runs back and was only just knocked off over this trip/grade last start. Anna Roper remains on top and claims 3kg which only puts him 1kg heavier than last time round. He gets a nice draw and will only be fitter for this third up. Will take catching.
(4) Misterkipchoge $4.50: 4YO Gelding who is rather honest, but struggles to win. His first up run was sound and he was strong to the line which suggests he will eat the rise to 1800m up nicely. Only win comes from a second up run. Fitter again and K-Mac for Waller with a market push is eye catching. Goes well.
(7) Highborn Harry $11/$2.80: 4YO Gelding who we had selected as a top 3 hope last time out at huge odds and he was terrific through to the line boasting some nice late sectionals. The rise in trip will suit and will only be improving. Looks a great value chance.
Also Backing: (7) Highborn Harry $11 (0.5 Units)
(4) Misterkipchoge
$4.50 (1.5 Units)
Race 5: Anzac Day Cup BM78 - 2400m - 3:05pm (AEST)
(2) Casual Connection $6.50/$2.00: 6YO Gelding who is a genuine stayer. Won well two runs back before being run down late most recently. He gets in nicely with a 2kg claim, draws well and looks ready to bounce back. Value.
(4) Campaldino $2.00: NZ gelding who has been terrific in all three Australian runs this campaign. Second behind Mawjood and I Am The Empire before winning comfortably over 2100m in the Orange Cup. Looks primed for this now and gets in superbly with a 3kg claim. The one to beat.
(6) Jack Duggan $7.50/$2.10: 7YO Grey who has been terrific in all his last four runs over similar trips. Slightly back in grade and remains at 57kg. Nash Rawiller back on top, draws well and must be considered.
(4) Campaldino
$2.00 (5 Units)
Race 8: The Gallipoli BM78 - 1400m – 4:50pm (AEST)
(2) Asgarda $10/$3.40: 5YO Mare who looks a great value pick here. First up win was good before being a little disappointing in BM84 grade. Drops back to BM78 grade now and gets in nicely with a 2kg claim. Draws well and can bounce back. Happy to have a play at the price.
(4) Thunderlips $10.00/$3.40: 4YO Gelding who was sound on return and looked to be a pass mark. Fitter now and does his best work when second up. Has a decent record over 1400m. Sticky gate the only concern, but will be hitting the line.
(15) House Of Cards $8.00/$2.80: 4YO gelding who had been racing soundly before being very disappointing last start. Id expect him to be bouncing back here. Draws well and has had some early support. Among the dangers.
(2) Asgarda E/W
$10/$3.40 (0.5U/1U)
