Rosehill Gardens Racing Tips: Saturday, March 29th 2025
Race 1: Midway BM72 – 1300m – 12:30pm (AEDT)
(1) Mahogany Girl $10/$3.20: 6YO Mare who continues to win. She is lightly raced and has only missed the placings on one occasion from all of her starts. Chad LEVER stays with her and she is unbeaten over 1300m. Needs to lug some weight, but otherwise must be considered again.
(4) So Good So Cool $9.00/$3.30: 6YO Gelding who has been racing well and finally got another win last start at this track/trip. Chad is remaining in the saddle and he can repeat now. Each way.
(10) Tenderize $5.00/$2.30: 5YO who has been backed already in the early market $6.5 into $5. Won two in a row before finishing 5th over this track/trip last time behind SO Good So Cool. Gets relief with a 2kg claim engaged and he is ready to get back to the winners stall. Go well.
TIP: NO BET
Race 2: Rosehill Bowling Club Bailliey - 1400m - 1:05pm (AEDT)
(1) Quietly Arrogant $8.50/$2.50: 2YO Colt who is coming out of the Slipper and J-Mac gets back on top. Two runs ago he was impressive finishing 3rd behind RIVELLINO/SKYHOOKS. Skyhook went on to win by several lengths and then Rivellino has gone enormous again in the Slipper last start. This fella probably not quite up to that level yet, but has shown promise against those opponents. He may appreciate 1400m now and looks a good each way play.
(2) Nepotism $3.20: 2YO Colt who has only had the one career start, but was impressive at $41 running only 1L behind Tentyris and Wodeton. Can only be improving.
(9) Next Jen $9.00/$2.60: 2YO Filly out of Ole Kirk who won over 1300m first up on the soft track and did it comfortably. Remains ion the soft deck and must be considered again. Sticky gate the only concern.
TIP: NO BET
Race 3: Toyota Forklifts Tulloch Stakes - 2000m – 1:40pm (AEDT)
(4) King Of Thunder $3.50: 3YO Who was good through to the line first up over 1400m, but clearly needed further. Second up over 1900m was terrific and won well. Reunited with J-Mac for this and is proven third up. Can’t knock him.
(5) Confetti Garden $6.50/$2.30: 3YO who has been terrific in all three runs and looks to be a promising type over 1600m and beyond. Rock hard fit and will only be improving.
(7) Tenbury Wells $27/$6.00: Roughie of the field who gets a much-needed class drop. Gets out to 2000m where he is a proven winner and looks primed for this trip third up. Likes it wet and draws a handy gate, so I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw a bold run from him here. Blow out hope.
TIP: NO BET
Race 4: Precise Air Neville Sellwood Stakes - 2000m – 2:15pm (AEDT)
(1) Ceolwulf $1.70: 4YO gelding who was well supported last outing over 1500m and only just missed behind GRINGOTTS and FANGIRL. This rise in trip looks to suit and is facing some easier competition. Primed fourth up and will have plenty of followers. Not sure if I can buy in at the price though.
(4) Zarakem $26.00/$4.50: Classy import who was disappointing on debut here, but happy to forgive on previous form. He has a good record over this trip and loves the soft track. Expecting improvement second up. Over the odds.
(9) Redstone Well $21/$4.20: 6YO who tried hard at Canberra over this trip last time round and was well supported. Loomed the winner, but just couldn’t get there. Draws pole position and has an impressive record third up. Won’t be far off them here.
(9) Redstone Well E/W
$21/$4.20 (1 Unit)
Race 5: Cincotta Chemist Emancipation Stakes - 1500m – 2:50pm (AEDT)
(3) Coeur Volante $10/$2.90: Dominant winner two back over 1400m, but then found them too tough most recently. Easier now and expecting her to bounce back. Draws well and gets a nice booking of Collett into the saddle. Value.
(7) Lazzura $4.20: 3YO Filly who was very good winning last start over this track/trip. Tommy BERRY stays on and gets a similar set up, so expect her to have plenty of fans once again. The one to beat.
(14) Harlem Queen $7.00/$2.50: 3YO Filly who we tipped last start and she was enormous through to the line over 1400m. Id only be expecting improvement off that run now second up and with the extra 100m in trip this looks ideal. Draws a sticky gate, but generally likes to lob worse than midfield, so if she can find cover throughout she will be exploding late. Happy to be on again.
(14) Harlem Queen E/W
$7.00/$2.50 (1 Unit)
Race 6: Vinery Stud Stakes - 2000m – 3:25pm (AEDT)
(1) Treasurethe Moment $1.60: 3YO Filly who just continues to win and win well. Boasts an incredible record and will be awfully hard to beat. Looks to be a nice anchor in any multi for the day. The one to beat.
(3) Powers Of Opal $19/$3.40: 3YO Filly who showed some promise last prep, but has yet to return this time round. 2000m now may suit.
(5) Declichy Boulevard $8.00: Another handy filly who was solid enough last start in the Phar Lap. Yet to tackle 2000m, but will be fit enough and will be in the money.
TIP: NO BET
Race 7: Egroup Security Star Kingdom Stakes - 1200m – 4:00pm (AEDT)
(3) Uncommon James $6.50/$2.30: Can’t fault this fellas effort last start in the Group 1 galaxy. Only finished a length behind Private Harry who remains undefeated. Looked to be back to his best, so on that he has to be considered here. Each way all day.
(5) Dragonstone $15/3.80: 6YO who gets a much better draw today and looks promising third up on the soft track. Best is good enough. Blow out hope.
(8) Brudenell $7.00/$2.50: 5YO Gelding who we tipped last start at the Valley which resulted in a nice little confidence booster for him winning nicely. He is rock hard fit and loves this trip. Terrific soft track runner and gets the booking of J-Mac for the first time. Among the dangers.
TIP: NO BET
Race 8: Kia Tancred Stakes - 2400m – 4:35pm (AEDT)
(1) Dubai Honour $3.10: 7YO Gelding who returns from a decent break after finishing second in the Group 1 Longines Hong Kong Cup where he was held up badly which ended up being costly, but when he found the gap and took the rails run he was explosive through to the line. His recent form is hard to look past with 2 Group 1 seconds. He is proven fresh and has won at this track previously. Nicely rated and gets a lovely draw. Marquand stays connected and he is a lovely staying type. Must be included.
(2) Vauban $4.20: Classy stayer who was terrific when resuming last start over 2000m. He looks even more suited now over 2400m. Loves the soft track and is a very talented type. Big chance to go on with it.
(13) La Crique $20/$3.80: 6YO Mare who has been a little bit of a bridesmaid of late, but is a group 1 winner and probably should’ve won the Derby in NZ. Draws well for this and gets a nice booking. Nice record on the soft track, roughie of the field.
(1) Dubai Honour
$3.10 (3.5 Units)
Race 9: Racing And Sports Doncaster Prelude - 1500m – 5:15pm (AEDT)
(2) Amenable $6.50/$2.30: 5YO Gelding who returned nicely in open class only finishing behind Sandpaper who had a 4kg weight advantage. Should be improving off that effort and will have some fans. Each way.
(4) Willaidow $5.50/$2.10: Terrific winner first up and then was only 1.6L off them second up, but bounced back again third up when he hit the line strongly to finish second behind IOWNA MERC. J-Mac gets reunited and boasts a nice record when on top. Sensational wet tracker, so if the track remains soft he will be hard to beat. Goes well at an each way price.
(5) Encap $10.00/$3.00: 4YO who is a genuine type and will always give you sight. He will be improving second up and is yet to miss top two when second up. Goes well on the soft track, but this distance is the query. Value.
TIP: NO BET
Race 10: Hkjc World Pool BM88- 1400m – 5:55pm (AEDT)
(1) Zouatica $27/$6.20: Roughie of the field who was sensational resuming over this trip notching up a win. Improving again now and has a nice record over this trip. Maps well and must be considered. Smokey.
(11) Bojangles $9.50/$3.00: 4YO Gelding who has been rather impressive in his last two runs where he has had to do it tough, but still produced two good efforts. Two runs back he got caught 3 wide the trip, but still managed to hit the line and was only beaten by RAPT with gaps to third. Hit the line impressively considering. Most recently over this trip/grade he again got caught wide in the early stages but managed to find some cover once they all positioned themselves. He peeled out and chased terrifically and only finished behind LES VAMPIRES who he meets again for this (Current Favourite). He finds himself with a handy barrier for a change and gets a 2kg weight swing in his favour on the fav. Rock hard fit and ready to win. Looks a great each way play.
(14) Dark Glitter $51/$10: This 4YO Mare would have to be one of the roughies of the day. Three runs back he was almost a group 2 winner. She has been okay in her next too, but has failed to back up that impressive run we saw three back. she gets right back in grade now and with a 3kg claim on her back she will only be lugging 52KG for this. Proven on the soft, draws well and will be expected to run on. Big Blow out hope.
Also Backing: (14) Dark Glitter E/W $51/$10 (0.5 Units)
(11) Bojangles E/W
$9.50/$3.00 (1 Unit)
