Super Rugby Pacific Round 3 Betting Tips
NSW Waratahs vs Fijian Drua
Friday February 28, 7.35pm AEDT
Fijian Drua are a team that is getting better and at some stage will strongly challenge the Australian and New Zealand teams in the not too distant future. They took it up to the Hurricanes last week, losing 38-34 in a very good game. They just need to do it for 80 minutes on a consistent basis without a drop off. They head to Sydney to take on the Waratahs, who are off a bye after winning their round one clash against the Highlanders, with class coming to the fore late in the piece. Joseph Sua'ali'i made his debut for the Tahs and was very good, like he was for the Wallabies during the Spring Tour. He wasn't quite 100% in fitness but he had some classy touches and will be better for the run. All things being equal, the Tahs should be winning and winning.

Chiefs vs ACT Brumbies
Saturday March 1, 2.35pm AEDT
Gee I was disappointed with the Brumbies last weekend. At home, they had everything on paper to do a number on the Force, but they leaked 45 points and played in patches. Some patches were good but gee some of the other patches were horrendous, which is very unlike the Brumbies, especially at home, where they are usually so reliable. You'd like to think they would have been flogged at training this week to tune up for the trip across the ditch to take on a gun side in the Chiefs. They did as they pleased last week against the Crusaders and have put their cards on the table as one of the teams to beat for the title and are near unbeatable at home. The Brumbies, you'd have to assume, are going to play much better, but even with that, I don't think that's enough to trouble the Chiefs.

Hurricanes vs Blues
Saturday March 1, 5.05pm AEDT
This is an important game to highlight given these two sides are going to be in the thick end of it when it comes to challenging for the title. The Hurricanes had their issues to get past Fijian Drua but eventually got there in a high scoring game, winning 38-34. Now they take on the Blues, who come off a loss against the Highlanders in what was a shock loss given the Blues are seen as the main threat to the Chiefs, so you'd think they would have been flogged on the training track this week and are smarting, raring to go to bounce back, so I think this will be a closely fought contest, but off last week, I am thinking the Hurricanes can win at home.

Western Force vs QLD Reds
Saturday March 1, 7.35pm AEDT
All you can do is win and that is what the Force have done in their opening two games to start the campaign. It wasn't much of a game last week against the Brumbies re quality, but credit to them, the game was there to be won and they got there in the final few minutes, with grit and determination to get a late try and win. They are at home and race the Reds, who had a struggle at stages against Moana Pasifika but in the end, they had too much class and put on several tries late to win and blowout the score, which wasn't a true reflection of the contest. I think the value clearly lies with the Force to cause the upset.
