Race 4: Buy An Arrowfield Yearling BM72 – 1300m – 3:20pm (AEDT)
(1) Powerful Peg $23.00/$3.80: 5YO Mare who has been far from her best this prep, but gets back into a much easier affair here and gets in nicely at the weights with a 3kg claim. Goes well on the dry track and over this trip. Drawn nicely and looks a blow out hope.
(2) Drift Net $3.10: 4YO Mare who just doesn’t know how to win. Loomed last start and you couldn’t have had enough on at the 200m mark, but show no will to win and allowed the challengers to go past her. Clearly good enough again, but I just can’t jump back on for the third time and be disappointed.
(8) Tuileries $2.00: 3YO Filly who made a statement when resuming last start winner her maiden by 3L. Drawn perfectly for this and I am happy to be on with the nice TOF she showed last start. Fitter again. On top for me.

Race 5: Tab BM64– 1000m - 4:00pm (AEDT)
(4) Zoubeauty $11.00/$3.20: 4YO mare who is chasing a hattrick of wins and has been plonked in the early market $20 into $11 with only 1 scratching. Both recent wins have been by more than 2L. Expect she will go well again here.
(6) Vanessi $3.40: Dominant win last start to break maiden over 1100m. Drops slightly back now, but will be fitter again third up and must be considered off last starts performance.
(8) Photographics $23.00/$5.30: Roughie of the day who is a proven winner over this trip and gets in nicely at the weights. Maps well and looks a blow out hope. Runs well fresh.

Race 7: Schweppes Summer Cup – 2000m - 5:20pm (AEDT)
(1) Rustic Steel $11.00/$3.10: 7YO Gelding who won nicely three back in open class and then only 2L behind BRIASA after that. Last start he ran home nicely over the mile and looks primed for 2000m now. Nicely weighted and looks a nice each way play.
(4) Osipenko $11.00/$3.00: 5YO Gelding who was handy enough last start over the mile and looks another suited type over further. Proven 2000m winner and maps well for this. Wins are few and far between, so take on trust.
(10) Tavi Time $3.50: 5YO gelding who has been racing well and has some nice form lines. Less than 2L behind GRINGOTTS 3 runs back and then finished 3rd in his two runs since against some top horses. Chance with the low weight.
