Warwick Farm Racing Tips: Wednesday, December 18th 2024
Race 3: Inglis Classic Sale BM64 – 2200m - 3:30pm (AEDT)
(1) Bifoftheblarney $6.00/$2.00: 5YO Gelding who makes the trip down from QLD and hasn’t been far away on either of his last two starts in tougher grade. He gets in nicely at the weights with the 3kg claim and isn’t far away from another win. Happy to be on at the price.
(2) So Sleek $3.90: Consistent 5YO who has finished in the minors 4 out of his last 6 runs. Another one who gets back in grade and can play a role. Tim Clark to steer boosts confidence. Any rain about will help.
(4) Winning Point $14.00/$3.40: Best rated horse in the field and looks suited out in trip. Finished 6th last start at Randwick, but wasn’t all that far away. K-Mac into the saddle. Roughie of the field.
(1) Bifoftheblarney E/W
$6.00/$2.00 (1U/3U)
Race 4: All Too Hard @ Vinery Stud BM72 – 1000m - 4:05pm (AEDT)
(2) Cosomova $4.00: 4YO Mare who is resuming and has two trials under her belt leading into this. She was handy 3rd up and 4th up last prep winning nicely over slightly further. Prefer her to have a few runs under her belt, but with the two trials id expect her to be ready to fire first up. Unbeaten on the soft track.
(3) Passeggiata $6.00/$2.00: 5YO Mare who was handy two runs back in tougher grade and then loomed last start, but didn’t respond and then weakened to run last. Gets in nicely at the weights this time round and is capable of much better. Happy to forgive last start and have an each way play.
(6) Manwe $8.00/$2.40: Kementari’s son who has been rather disappointing and is yet to live up to the hype. Ran well first up behind Eye Of The Fire who has since franked the form, but was flat second up. Drops back in trip and looks suited. Take on trust.
(3) Passeggiata
$6.00 (1 Unit)
Race 5: Buy An Arrowfield Yearling BM72 – 1400m - 4:40pm (AEDT)
(1) Huesca $6.50/$2.00: 6YO who was well supported first up and was flat, but can forgive due to track conditions. Id expect a big improvement here and is proven second up. Each way.
(3) Piggyback $4.00: Probably one of the better bets of the day with this 4YO mare returning and she comes back with two trials under her belt. She is unbeaten fresh and over the trip. Tim Clark steers for C Maher and id expect her to be hard to beat. Draws a nice alley too.
(4) Sly Boots $3.50: 4YO who was handy threw to the line when resuming over 1250m. Gets out to 1400m which looks ideal off that first up run. Fitter again and draws nicely. Must be included.
(3) Piggyback
$4.00 (1.5 Units)
