Victorian racing on Friday night heads to Moonee Valley, where nine races have been set down. The track as of Wednesday evening is a Soft 5 and with that, rail true, it'll be interesting to see how the track plays and whether the inside will be the spot to be. Adam Page offers his best bets for The Valley below!
Moonee Valley Racing Tips: Fridaym November 29th 2024
Race 3: Hygain Tractorque Handicap 2040m - 6.45pm AEDT
7 Autumn Storm is short enough but he does look the one to beat. He ran over this track/distance two weeks ago when getting the beaut run in transit just off the speed and loomed to win when presented but found one better in Rise To It. Racing well and strikes a race where the depth isn't as deep.
3 Mi Rock Aly is a mare in form for Matty Williams and comes here off the back of a Mortlake Cup win, leading throughout under Meech and found plenty under pressure to fend them off and win. Good test here, but with that racing pattern, she'll give herself every chance.
2 Notabadbuy looks the leader and if he gets front end control, he takes running down, as seen two back when winning on Bendigo Cup Day before going to Caulfield when just off the speed and battled late. Up in trip should be fine and if he gets a cheap furlong or two, he takes running down.
7 Autumn Storm

Race 6: MGI Golf Handicap 2040m - 8.15pm AEDT
10 Jaz Tycoon is a straight bat play. Ben Brisbourne trained mare that ran over this track/distance two weeks ago where she got back to near last in the run and was held up at times but when clear, she found the line strongly in defeat behind Autumn Slide. Senior rider on and should be strong at the end. Hard to beat.
13 Vixenette should be thereabouts for Team McEvoy. She ran here a fortnight back where she was one of the first off the bit but kept finding the line and was quite good in defeat, only going down narrowly at the hands of Cachink. If she can overcome the draw, she'll be around the mark.
7 Brawl is a Paul Preusker trained gelding that resumes. This guy is first up, having not raced since July 27 when struggling late on heavy ground at Murtoa. First up at the mile I do like and to my eye, he has trialled well enough for the return.

Race 7: Ladbrokes 55 Second Challenge Heat 7 955m - 8.45pm AEDT
1 Bold Print looks the one. He looked the winner at this track/distance two weeks ago, even watching it live it looked like he got there, but the photo went the way of Projeto in a deceptive finish. Better for the run, kind map...the one to beat.
5 Big Me is a Your Song gelding for Nick Ryan that resumes. He is first up, having not raced since Sep 14 down the straight at Flemington when on speed and just felt the pinch late in the piece behind Moby Dick. Tricky draw, but has quality about him, so watch the market.
3 Manhattan Thunder is a John Sadler trained gelding that resumes. This guy is first up, having not raced since May 29 at Sale when off the speed and while he was never really threatening, he kept finding the line behind Port Albert. Stable can get them ready fresh, so watch the market.
