Rosehill Gardens Racing Tips: Wednesday, October 2nd 2024
Race 4: Precise Air BM72 1800m – 3:45pm (AEST)
(2) Captain Maverick $4.00: 4YO gelding who was a dominant winner over this grade/trip last start. Needs to carry an extra 2kg now, but J-Mac stays on and draws a decent alley. Likes the soft track and should once again be a main danger here. Hard fit fourth up.
(6) Monfelicity $18.00/$4.20: Roughie of the field who has been far from her best this prep, but drops back to BM7u2 grade where she finished third 2 runs back and gets in lighter on this occasion. Rock hard fit and proven on the soft. Blow out hope.
(7) Seafall $7.50/$2.40: Terrific win last time out when second up and we backed her too! Unbeaten third up and looks suited out further now off that run. J-Mac has jumped off to ride the stablemate, but The magic man jumps in who is no slouch. Happy to stay on here and she gets in nicely at the weights.

Race 5: Sharp EIT Solutions BM72 1200m– 4:20pm (AEST)
(1) Need Some Luck $2.80 4YO Gelding who has a nice resume for only 7 starts. He has only missed the trifecta on 1 occasion. Only narrowly missed last start and is expected to improve second up. He is the one to beat here.
*SCRATCHED* (5) Fury $10.00: Won well two back to break maiden and then wasn’t all that bad in 64 grade. Resumes today off two trials and is capable of running a nice race against these on his day.
(9) Eye Pea Oh $7.50/$2.30: 6YO Mare who has been super in her last three runs without winning. She gets back onto the soft track now where she boasts 4 wins from 9 attempts. Gets in nicely at the weights and will be hard fit for this. Happy to have at a value price here.

Race 6: James Squire BM72 1400m- 4:55pm (AEST)
*SCRATCHED* (1) True To Form $6.00: 5YO Who has returned superbly this prep with 2 wins and a second. Rock hard fit now and gets in nicely with a 3kg claim. Prefer him on the dry ground though.
*SCRATCHED* (7) Just Party $5.50: 3YO Colt who was terrific in much tougher company last time out. Draws well and gets in nicely again at the weights against the others here. Very open race, but think if we see a similar effort to LS he will be right in this.
(11) Wembanyama $7.50: 4YO gelding who was terrific last prep and I think we will only see improvement now as a 4YO. Proven first up. Watch the market.
