Warwick Farm Racing Tips – Wednesday, May 31st 2023
Race 3: Palace Pier @ Darley Mdn (2.00pm AEST)
(4) Outsider – 3YO filly who showed promise first prep. Didn’t miss the minors from three attempts. Goes down to 1200m now and should be all the more experienced. Has had a trial and now ready to race. Goes well here I think.
(6) Siglo De Oro -Untested horse and has had three trials without a result, but the early market is getting a hammering. James McDonald booked is also a big tick. Each way chance.
Outsider - Win
$4.20 (2 Unit)
Race 4: Headwater @ Vinery Stud BM72 1300m (2.35pm AEST)
(7) Anagain – 4YO mare who only has the one career win from 15 starts, but four attempts have been super and getting closer. Backmarker who may need this extra 100m to nail the leaders. Gets back in grade and will be around the mark.
(8) Sirens Star – This mare may be over the odds here, she has built a nice little resume early. Harder here, but needs it to be dry for best chance. Knockout chance at a nice price?
(12) Leandra – Another nice priced runner whose only win comes from this journey last start in a maiden. Bumps up in class, but comes in the lightest. No reason she can’t be in the finish off last starts win. Watch the market.
Anagain – Win
$2.70 (2 Units)
Race 6: Proven Thoroughbreds BM72 1600m (3.45pm AEST)
(9) Brown Thomas – 7YO veteran here who looks a shout here at huge odds. Third up today where he has won 3 from 6 attempts. Stays at the 72 grade after only finishing less than 5L off the winner LS, but prior to that was impressive finishing third at $101 in this grade/distances. Loves WF with 2 wins coming from 5 goes. Draws a nice gate and can hopefully sit off pace with cover and gives us a shout at huge odds. Goes well.
(5) Touristic – The favourite of the race who finished second in tougher company last start. Rises up 200m which will help. Looks ready and can win. J Mac in the saddle builds more confidence.
SAVER Touristic $3.50 (1 Unit win)
Brown Thomas – E/W
$35/$8.50 (0.5u/1u)
