Warwick Farm hosts a 7-race midweek meeting with a few exciting debutants amongst the typical midweek battlers. It should be an interesting day!
Blake Lalor brings you his analysis and racing tips for the Warwick Farm below!
Warwick Farm Racing Tips: Wednesday December 21st
Race 2
(8) Step Aside has won both of his trials prior to his debut and gets the services of James Mcdonald from a decent alley in 6. This gelding looks to have ability and Waller is sure to have him ready for the races here.
(3) Joyrider has the benefit of race experience here over the favourite and looks the biggest threat if he’s able to capitalise on that advantage.
(9) Victory Lane is very capable of winning this race. He’s placed in back-to-back races but just has to overcome the tough draw to fature. Nice price to take that chance.
(8) Step Aside Win
$1.80 (3 units)
Race 4
(8) Kypreos is a great price in this race on the quick back-up. He’s capable of winning this near his best and gets the gun draw with Regan Bayliss aboard so should have every opportunity.
(6) Villaden is the favourite and the clear danger to my top selection. Jmac on another favourite, what’s new? His form reads well and he’ll be tough to beat from gate 2, but the price for Kypreos is far more attractive.
(2) Lord Desanimaux drops back in grade for this and is an extremely capable galloper. He’s had things against him in most of his recent races and may have the same this time from gate 10. The class drop has me interested though and he’s sure to give a solid performance.
(8) Kypreos e/w
$10/$3.30 (1 unit)
Race 5
(4) Taraashoq meets Duke of Buckingham 2kg better off for finishing 1L behind him last start. I like the Tradition and Whangaehu form the start prior for this horse too and think he’s a strong chance of turning the tables in this race.
(1) Duke Of Buckingham is the obvious horse to beat here having won his last 2 races the most recent of which was a victory over our top selection. He’ll be thereabouts again from a good draw.
(3) Too Much Caviar was 3rd to French Bonnet last time at Nowra. That’s great form for this. The horse will have to find a spot from gate 7 and may have a slightly tougher task than some of the favourites but he’s got to be in considerations.
(4) Taraashoq win
$4.80 (1 unit)
