NRL Round 15 Sunday Betting Tips
Parramatta Eels vs Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs
Bankwest Stadium, Sunday 2:00pm AEST
Parramatta will be brimming with confidence after back-to-back wins to fight their way out of a slight form slump. They come into this game after a commanding 40-12 win over the Wests Tigers and have started showing the sort of form which saw them in the top two at the start of the season. They currently sit 3rd and can cement their spot in the top four with a win today.
The Bulldogs will also take some confidence into this one after a rare win last week over the Dragons. They finally got their act together in defence and their attack was built on the back of that. They will be aiming to win two straight matches for the first time since 2019 as Trent Barrett keeps his side relatively unchanged. Kyle Flanagan looks set to remain in NSW Cup while Nick Meaney will retain his spot at fullback over Dallin Watene Zalezniak.
The Eels will be without Maika Sivo due to suspension and that will see young Sean Russell make his NRL debut on the wing. Blake Ferguson has been left of the squad once again as Brad Arthur looks to find some consistency in his backline’s defence.
You’d expect Parramatta to be too strong here today as Clint Gutherson and Mitchell Moses continue to pull the strings for Brad Arthur’s side. They have been clinical in recent weeks and have put teams to the sword once they swing into action. The Bulldogs continue to battle down the bottom of the ladder and while last week was a big confidence boost, they face another beats in the Eels here today. The inexperienced halves of Averillo and Wakeham will need to take their game to another level to match it with Moses and Brown and I’m just not sure they have it in them.
Parramatta have won nine of their past 11 matches against Canterbury and will be boosted by another big crowd at Bankwest Stadium. While the head-to-head record in recent times has been one sided, five of the last seven have all been decided by eight points or less. With that being said, the Bulldogs are miles behind the Eels at this point in their season and I think this could be a cricket score if the visiting side doesn’t show up early.

Gold Coast Titans vs Manly Sea Eagles
Cbus Super Stadium, Gold Coast, Sunday 4:05pm AEST
The Gold Coast come into this winning just two of their last nine matches and have arguably been the most disappointing team of the season. With the signings they made in the off season many predicted this side to be fighting out a spot in the top eight. Instead they are battling down in 12th and are struggling for any sort of confidence at both ends of the field. They will be boosted by the return of their origin players however and will be desperate to bounce back after a heartbreaking one point loss last week.
Manly are on the other end of the spectrum and will head into this match as one of the most in-form sides in the competition. They have won seven of their last nine as Tommy Turbo continues to terrorise opposition defences. Tom Trbojevic will make his return after being given a rest last week following origin while Daly Cherry Evans will play his 250th NRL game.
I think this match will be closer than many expect with the Titans putting in a much improved performance last week against the Roosters. They went down by a late field goal there but will only improve from that with the return of some of their big names. With that being said, they will have to topple one of the hottest teams in the competition and I’m not sure their defence will be able to handle Tommy Turbo and the free flowing attack of the Sea Eagles.
The visitors have a very good record up here at the Gold Coast, having won four of their last five against the Titans. Manly should be coming out on top but expect the home side to put up a fight. Manly have scored 28 or more points in seven of their last eight matches and should be a massive chance of piling on points today against a Titans side who have struggled in defence all year. I expect the Sea Eagles to get home in a high scoring affair.
