NBL Round 18 Betting Tips
Brisbane Bullets vs Perth Wildcats
Saturday 5:30pm AEST, Nissan Arena
Brisbane Bullets were huge winners against the Kings to kick off their Round 18, defeating them by 23 points at home. It was the Bullets first home game since Round 11 and boy did they make the most of it. On the back of that, they’re now a huge chance to make claim for a playoffs spot.
Perth Wildcats had their medicine against the league-leading United in their first game of Round 18. That came after two really nice wins in a row for the Wildcats, which had them pushing again for the top spot; however, it now looks like the champs will have to settle for second spot.
The Bullets impressive win over the Kings certainly influenced our tip here, there’s no denying that. They were dominant, particularly on the defensive end which is where they’ve let themselves down for the most part this season. On their home deck again here, we’re predicting a Bullets upset win.

Illawarra Hawks vs New Zealand Breakers
Saturday 8pm AEST, WIN Entertainment Centre
Illawarra Hawks have returned to form over the past couple of weeks with back-to-back wins over the Breakers and the 36ers. Prior to that they had lost three on the spin, so it was important for them to get back on the winners list in order to stay in the box seat for a top four finish.
New Zealand Breakers have had a roller coaster of a season and are now out of the playoffs race. They were no match for a desperate Phoenix outfit last time out, which made it three losses in a row. It was always going to be tough for them playing nearly all of their games in Australia this season, but at least they’ll get the chance to play in front of their home fans soon enough.
The Hawks haven’t set the world alight with their form over the past couple of weeks, but they simply have too much on the line to not put in a good showing on Saturday night. At home and in a must-win game, we have the Hawks getting the job done and covering the spread in the process.

Sydney Kings vs Adelaide 36ers
Sunday 5pm AEST, Qudos Bank Arena
Sydney Kings were thoroughly disappointing in their big loss to the Bullets to kick off Round 18, which really put I a dint in their playoffs aspirations. The Kings simply must find a way to get superstar import Jarrell Martin more involved on offence, especially considering how many key players are on the sidelines at the moment.
Adelaide 36ers have finally gotten healthy and are now making a big run towards the playoffs. They come into this having won three of their past four games despite a minor slip up against the Hawks last time out. They still have it all to do if they’re to finish in the top four, but at least they’re giving themselves a chance.
These teams faced each other just last week in a thrilling game that required overtime. The 36ers eventually came out on top by nine points and for some reason are the underdogs again here. We love them to put in another great show and cover the spread again on Sunday.
