NBL Round 13 Betting Tips
Adelaide 36ers vs Perth Wildcats
Saturday 5:30pm AEST, Adelaide Entertainment Centre
Adelaide 36ers finally snapped their losing streak with a win over the out-of-form Hawks last time out. Josh Giddey returned from injury and put in a stellar performance, flirting with a triple-double again. Overall, it’s been a tough couple of months for the 36ers who have lost 10 of their last 13 games.
Perth Wildcats are absolutely rolling at the moment with wins in each of their last nine and 13 of their last 14 games. They played the Kings in each of their last three games and were able to fend them off on each occasion despite facing a number of different coverages from a quality outfit.
The Wildcats have faced and beaten the 36ers twice during this current nine-game winning streak, but both were pretty close affairs. The total points sailed over the line in both of their meetings and we expect that to be the case again, even more so with Giddey back in the team and helping smooth out the 36ers offence.

Melbourne United vs New Zealand Breakers
Saturday 8pm AEST, John Cain Arena
Melbourne United come into this on a five-game winning streak that snapped a then four-game losing streak. Players returning from injury has certainly helped their cause and will hold them in good stead going forward. As it stands, United are second on the ladder but will have a chance to go top if results go their way this weekend.
New Zealand Breakers are coming off a tough loss against the Phoenix that effectively rules them out of the finals race. It’s been a tough couple of months for a side that have lost five of their past six games and have been riddled by injuries since day dot.
All thing considered, Melbourne United are by far the better team and should have no worries recording a comfortable win on their home deck. We’re expecting a 10+ point win for the home side here.

Illawarra Hawks vs Cairns Taipans
Sunday 5pm AEST, WIN Entertainment Centre
Illawarra Hawks come into this off a tight win against the Phoenix that puts them right back in finals contention after a couple of tough losses. The Hawks have jumped back inside the top four and will be desperate to stay there. They've had an up and down season to date and will be searching for more consistency as the regular season draws to a close.
Cairns Taipans have had the worst season possible and look destined to finish on the bottom of the ladder. They’ve had solid contribution from both Cam Oliver and Scott Machado, but no one else has been able to show up on a consistent basis to keep them in contention for a finals berth.
The Hawks are still well and truly in the finals race and will be desperate to win this game against a Taipans side that had little to nothing to play for. Under these conditions, we really like the Hawks to win and cover the spread here.
