Horse Racing Tips: Tuesday, December 3rd
Hamilton Race 3 (Market)
(1) Americain Typhoon doesn’t have a great SP profile, he has been to the races twice, SP’ing at 70/1 on debut and 150/1 at start number two. He was very on-paced the first time he went to the races and finished second last between a long way, it was encouraging to see him show some improvement at start two. He got out past 1500m at Geelong, sat three-deep without cover the duration and stuck on well to finish in the placings, beaten only 2.5 lengths. He draws horribly in 18, there will be some decisions to be made early, but the toughness he showed last time proved he can do work. Out to the 1600m looks ideal, he probably wants further. You should be able to get 30/1 at some stage of betting, he is worth a throw at the stumps each-way at those odds.

Hamilton Race 4 (Market)
The resume of (2) Galaxy Glen is not overly inspiring, the Dane Smith trained gelding is still a maiden after 17 starts, hard to make excuses for that many failures! There was a lot to like about his latest run though. He was awkwardly away and missed the start a couple of lengths, he tacked on and came four wide and although he layed in most of the straight, got into third only beaten 0.3 lengths. It was a nice effort and you don’t often see them run on that well in highweight races. He has been up for a long time, hopefully they ride him mid-field and just save him for one run. He isn’t brilliant, but not many of these are.
Tamworth Race 1 (Market)
(4) Rage Against has been up for an eternity but is still racing consistently. He won at Gunnedah three starts back after settling outside the leader, that has been his spot in the run at his last three. Last time at Grafton he was parked before pressing on to lead, was headed at the top of the straight but stuck on well. The beaten margin was about two and a half lengths but it was a gap job back to the next horse. He should be able to get a soft lead here in the small field and I am really keen to take on the likely favourite (2) Bajan Gold. The former Waller trained runner is now with the Cody Morgan yard here at the track, he has only put in at one of his runs this prep and with six weeks between runs coming to the new yard over 2200m, no thanks.
Tamworth Race 3 (Market)
(5) Tarriff Trump debuted at Scone a fortnight ago, the Allen Denham trained filly was hard in the market after a decent trial at Newcastle leading into it. She was fairly away and caught very very wide, off the track without cover she then hung out and ran off the track even further, she never looked comfortable and was not ridden out. She went back to the trials on Friday at Muswellbrook, jumped well enough and held the inside under a big hold from the jock. He railed beautifully and was gun-barrel straight, he never got out of third gear and it just looked as though the goal was to get him around the bend safely. He was under triple-wraps hard held to the line, senior rider Greg Ryan goes on. He looks to have the ability, just needs to do everything right.
