Horse Racing Tips: Sunday, November 3rd
Muswellbrook Race 4 (Market)
Paul Perry teams up with Aaron Bullock for our first tip at Muswellbrook, (3) Divisadero has been to the races 6 times, placing at all three this prep. She won her maiden at Tuncurry fresh after a perfect ride before going to Port Macquarie at her first go out of maiden grade and was narrowly beaten after a ding-dong battle. She was there again last start and sat up on the speed, she had her chances but was beaten a length. This looks a lot easier today back against the girls, she is drawn beautifully and expect that Bullock will have her on the speed early and prove hard to run down.
Goulburn Race 2 (Market)
(3) Our Fun resumed here at Goulburn three weeks ago, she had a soft run behind the speed and was ridden along a fair way from home. She stuck on well and responded to the rider to run second beaten 0.14 lengths. A couple of key points for today, she gets the inside gate which she should be able to use to her advantage, to either lead or sit behind the leader, jockey Jason Collett will have that decision to make early. She also gets the addition of the blinkers first time which leans me towards thinking that he she can lead all the way. She was heavily backed last start so she must have been working well, her only other second-up run she had no luck and was tough to draw a conclusion from the run.
Goulburn Race 6 (Market)
(3) Sister Sledge is a Gerald Ryan trained mare that is second-up today, she was a winner at maiden level at her second-up run last prep. She resumed at the Kenso track a month ago and was an easing favourite at 70 grade, was worse than mid-field in the run and after being held-up slightly when the runs came, she did make some ground late but was never likely. Interestingly she featured in the steward’s report that day sustaining a cut to her near-hind leg. This doesn’t look any harder and the form from that Kenso race has been good with two subsequent winners coming from it and Lisdoonarva running a cracker in town yesterday. She gets a couple of gear changes, will go forward from gate 8 and if she does happen to be first across to the rails, go again in the run.
Mornington Race 4 (Market)
(6) Dance Ready has only been to the races once and he failed to place. It was here at his home track of Mornington back on the 21st of October, he was unwanted in the betting and eventually started a $41 chance. Settling mid-field over 1000m, he saved good ground on the turn and hit the line well, he had every chance beaten just under a length and a half. He looked like he clearly needed further and gets out to the 1200m for the first time. Drawn well again he shouldn’t be far away in the run. Look for any money for (2) Chancey Gardener who showed speed on debut and was sent straight to the paddock and (5) Classic Fastnet who is on debut for the Hayes/Hayes/Dabernig team. Happy to take on the likely fave (15) Gimme The Goss, he was good enough on debut but got a mile back, need to see her show some tactical speed before tipping her.
