Horse Racing Tips: Friday, November 22nd
Gosford Race 6 (Market)
(2) Liberty Sun debuted here at the Central Coast track back in late July, he was awkwardly away before crossing to the fence to lead from the wide draw. He kicked on the bend and although it can be very advantageous to do that here with the short straight, he ran through the line well to win by just over a length with almost 3 more back to third. It is good to see that the race has produced winners since, he was sent to the paddock and returns here after a 4-month break. He has had two trials, the most recent was a dominant win on the Beaumont track at Newcastle. HE was awkwardly away and missed it a half-length, mustered quickly and took up the running, pushed out through the line in what was the third fastest trial of the morning. The only query looks to be the inside as he hasn’t been well out of the gates, if he jumps, Bossy will lead all the way and he can take the step up to this level.
Gosford Race 8 (Market)
(11) Professor Marx is a 7YO veteran of 41 career starts, it’s been a while since he has returned to the winner’s stall but he looks to be working up to a win. It’s a little tough lining up his form, two back he was in the feature sprint at Coonabarabran on Cup Day and ran on hard form a mile back. He then went to Warren for their feature sprint, tracked up behind the leaders as the swoopers started there run, got the split and attacked the line hard to finish second. I like the map for him here, there looks to be plenty of speed out wide. With the long run to the first turn from the 1200m start, he should be midfield and tracking wide as the runs come, looks a great bet each-way bet at the double figure odds.

Orange Race 3 (Market)
(3) Modernity is from the in-form Bjorn Baker stable and the Foxwedge mare is having her sixth race start, looking for win number one. She was last seen at Goulburn against her own sex, she led from the wide gate, was challenged early in the straight and stuck on well. She had her chance but wasn’t good enough, she looks to get in so well with the 3kg claim and I don't think they won’t be catching her here. The only runner I could entertain the thought of beating her is (1) Zounate who was fair on debut at Wyong and will find this easier.
Sunshine Coast Race 5 (Market)
(1) Gin ‘N’ Bitters debuted here two weeks ago on a Friday night, she was well backed with tonight’s jock Robbie Fradd riding, eventually starting $3.20 as the official SP. She jumped well, was challenged early but kicked through to lead, railed into the straight and bolted in by almost 4 lengths. Obviously, she has to step out of maiden grade but gets a winnable Class 1 against her own sex. There doesn’t look much speed drawn inside her, so the middle draw actually looks perfect as she should be able to work across and lead. Even if something crosses from wider out, she should be good enough to win from outside the lead.
