NRL Round 25 Preview & Betting Tips
St George Illawarra Dragons vs Cronulla Sharks
WIN Stadium, Sunday 25th August, 4:05pm (AEST)
The Dragons are on the verge of securing a finals spot but this is a game they need to win to secure that. There is going to be a lot of spice to this match up for the Dragons given they are at home, it's a local derby and coach Shane Flanagan is hosting the side he coached to their first and only premiership back in 2016 and given the Sharks are pushing hard to secure a top four, that is just added motivation for Flanagan to get his side up. I think they will be more desperate and they showed last week against the Titans that they do have a bit of quality across the park.
I have no idea what to do with the Sharks. They dismantled the Titans at the Gold Coast two back and then last Sunday, I don't know how they got the win over the Newcastle Knights. The Knights, I thought, were the better team throughout but in the end, the class of the Sharks came to the fore. They do get some big ins for this weekend but I am not 100% sold on how they are playing at the moment. That said, their defensive efforts the last two weeks has been quite good.
Match Prediction: I think there is more to play for when it comes to the Dragons and at home, fully fit team, in form off a win, I think they are the way to go, especially at the value in their odds.

Dragons Head2Head: As stated above, I do think they win and they are great value in early betting.
Zac Lomax 1+ Tries: Scored a great try last week against the Titans and his transformation as a premier winger has been remarkable. Confident he'll score a try.
Ronaldo Mulitalo 1+ Tries: The wingers for the Sharks are where they usually score their tries given both guys are strong and are great finishers, notably this Kiwi international. He should score at least a try.
SGM Odds: $6.25 at BoomBet
