Canterbury Park Racing Tips: Wednesday, July 24th 2024
Race 3: TAB BM64 1100m – 2:00pm (AEST)
(3) Khaznah $3.30: 3YO Filly who is yet to miss the trifecta from all 7 career starts. Finally broke maiden last start over 1200m on the heavy deck. She can handle any going and has come second on both occasions over 1100m. Up in class now, but looks capable of going on with the winning form now that she’s got a taste of it. Draws well and gets James McDonald in the saddle. The one to beat for me.
(4) Cosmonova $3.30: Equal in the market with Khaznah and gets back into a suitable grade. Third up now and has had a trial. Draws a nice gate and will be competitive back in this grade.
(5) Magnucat $5.50: 3YO Filly who has won both of her career starts over 900m and most recently trialled well leading back into this prep. Must be respected.
(3) Khaznah
$3.30 (1.5 Units)
Race 6: Toyota Forklifts BM72 1250m - 3:45pm (AEST)
(5) How Dare You $4.00: 3YO filly who won nicely first up over 1300m and then failed to make an impression most recently in this company over 1400m. Drops back to 1300m. Gets a nice draw today and will be fitter for the two runs. Goes well.
(2) Flying Destiny $6.50: 4YO who wasn’t all that far away last time over this trip/grade. Gets a bad draw today, but best is good enough. Goes well on the wet.
(9) Triskelion $9.50: Not all that bad first up on the heavy and will only improve off the run. Gets out to 1250m now and J-Mac steers. Watch the market.
(5) How Dare You
$4.00 (1.5 Units)
Race 7: Dundeel At Arrowfield BM72 1900m – 4:20pm (AEST)
(1) Asgoodassobergets $9.00/$2.80: Best value play of the day. Remains at BM72 grade after competing in tougher grade with the previous outings. Three career wins come from the weather effected ground which boosts confidence. Draws okay and gets in well at the weights with a 3kg claim engaged. Will be around the mark at an each way price.
(8) Guzumped $4.60: 4YO who showed promise last start and looks suited now back out in distance. Expect him to be hooning late.
(11) Fun Sunday $7.00: 4YO mare who also gets out in trip now which suits and is a proven winner over 1900m. Hard fit for this third up run. Has won on the wet before, but prefer her on the dry. Watch the market.
(1) Asgoodassobergets E/W
$9.00/$2.80 (0.5U/1U)
