Thunder vs Strikers Betting Tips
Thunder
Uzzie would surely love to be in the Australian Test/ODI squad but he’s giving the selectors plenty to think about after 88 runs in 2 games thus far. He looked fantastic at the Gabba in Game 1 with 22 quickfire runs. Then in Geelong, he dominated the Renegades attack with 66 off 46 with 8 boundaries / 1 six. He should really enjoy another good outing on this Canberra deck where he scored a Test ton in February against Sri Lanka and went over 28.5 runs in his last BBL innings here.

Strikers
Having not played a game in the BBL so far, the Strikers are a bit of unknown at this point. But what we do know is that Alex Carey is a gun and the future test gloveman after Tim Paine. With Travis Head on International duty, Carey should continue to open the batting and will likely be the Strikers best chance to top score. He’s been in great touch in First Class Cricket with 73 against Tasmania and 143 against the Warriors in Perth. So hopefully, that translates into the shorter form.

Prediction
At Sportsbet, you can find the Thunder as underdogs and we find that very interesting. They’ve beaten the Heat in Brisbane and the reigning premiers in Geelong on Thursday. Playing 3 games in the space of 5 days is probably the reason why the Thunder are at this price but they seem to really enjoy the underdog tag. Not to mention, the Strikers haven’t played a game yet and will be without Travis Head. It’s also played in Canberra and the Thunder have won both games here last season.
