Where to Attack
Focusing on the synergy between the Gold Coast midfielders and defenders. There seems to be an abundance of chemistry between the two groups that have resulted in a high scoring area for the Suns. The Eagles on the other hand won’t be short of forward half entries – playing with confidence at the moment – that will play right into the hands of our plan of attack.
Game Script – Gold Coast running defenders + midfielders.
Value Plays
Joel Amartey ($6,860) in his early years wrestled with Logan McDonald for the number one key forward tag since the exit of Franklin, but the pair seem to have clicked and are both flourishing now being on the same page.
Finn Maginness ($8,170) presents as a bit of value in single figures, likely to have the Isaac Heeney matchup in the engine room or at least be close checking him which means spending time around the footy to help boost his score as a result.
Mid-Priced Plays
Mac Andrew ($9,530) continues to impress each week as a tall marking intercept defender that isn’t afraid to take the game on. It’s the reason he has quickly turned into a cult figure within the four walls at the Suns, still a touch slept on in the public as evident with his price.
Will Graham ($9,160) is a tackling machine that will look to thrive against an undermanned Eagles midfield, with Harley Reid managed. Can take it upon himself to cement his place in the side with a big outing here.
Premium Plays
Errol Gulden ($15,880) will appreciate the width of the MCG where he can use his two-way running ability to his advantage and play a more uncontested style of footy. Will test the young legs of his direct opponent in Clohesy.
Sam Flanders ($16,610) has been the chief accumulator off the half back for the Suns racking up a career high 30 touches per game. Kickout duties certainly help but there’s no shying away from the fact he has become a fantasy pig.
