Another race, another dominant display by Red Bull and Max Verstappen, as the Dutchman won his 3rd race of the season, whilst Red Bull continued their 100% winning record for the year. As the team’s head to Ferrari’s home race, will we once again see teams battling it out for the minor placings, or can someone finally take it to the raging Red Bull’s?

Miami Grand Prix Review
Despite a slow start to the weekend, Red Bull quickly showed their dominance and were heavily favoured to take places 1 and 2 on the grid. Verstappen was a whopping 0.5s ahead of teammate Sergio Perez in Q2, and looked a certainty to take Pole Position. But a poor first run in Q3 left him vulnerable, and a crash by Charles Leclerc on his final run brought out the red flag, leaving Verstappen qualifying just 9th for the race.
It didn’t matter, with Verstappen carving through the field to sit in 2nd by lap 15, just 4 seconds behind teammate Perez. With the hard tyres, Verstappen was able to go longer in his first stint, coming out just 1.5 seconds behind Perez, and now on the quicker medium tyre. It took just 2 laps for Verstappen to catch and pass Perez, cruising to victory and another Red Bull 1-2. Another great result for Aston Martin saw Alonso take 3rd place.
Emilia Romagna Grand Prix Preview
Red Bull dominated the 2022 Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, and it’s difficult to see them not dominating again this season. Despite this, there are a few interesting tid-bits from last season’s Grand Prix that we can take into handicapping this year’s race.
The first, was the Ferrari’s looking competitive early in the weekend. Charles Leclerc led a Ferrari 1-2 in FP1, with the pair 1.5 seconds clear of Verstappen in 3rd. Admittedly, the session was plagued by rain, however it’s not a bad shout to suggest Ferrari may try and show out for their fans in FP1 to give the Tifosi something to cheer about. If you really like Sainz, you can take him to be fastest at a much larger price ($19 at Bet365).
The second was the impressive performance by McLaren, particularly Lando Norris. Norris qualified 3rd for the sprint race, finishing 5th, before going on to claim 3rd place in the Grand Prix. Whilst I’m not suggesting another podium for Norris, a better performance is to be expected here at a race with plenty of slow corners, where the McLaren excels.
So, two outlays on some information from last season, and we will supplement it with some Red Bull bets because, well, how can you bet against them until someone shows they can match it with them.
