We look to round out out the third week of the 2021 AFL season with a clash over in the West, with Fremantle hosting Hawthorn. Both sides will be desperate to get their second win of the season in what looks to be a closely fought match.

Match Prediction
Hawthorn come into this off the back of a tough loss to Geelong on Easter Monday, narrowly going down to the Cats by 4 points. That was a much improved performance and something the players will take a massive amount of confidence from. Fremantle on the other hand were demolished by a rampant Carlton side by 45 points and desperately need to turn their form around here tonight.
I thought the Hawks were definitely value coming into this match as the underdogs. They face off against a side who has been beaten convincingly in 2 of the 3 opening rounds while the overall record between these sides reads 28-9 in favour of Hawthorn. I think their tough performance against the Cats, who are one of the top sides in the competition at the moment shows that they can definitely come over to Perth and spring an upset.
Fremantle just haven’t been able to score enough points in their three matches this season, with scores of 58, 87 and 64 proving they will need to find their goal scoring form to become a factor in this competition. Nat Fyfe looks like he is likely to return in a massive boost for his side but I just think the Hawks match up better across the park. They look one of the better value bets of the weekend and have covered the line in their last four matches.

Dockers Prop Bet
Andrew Brayshaw was held to only 19 touches last week against the Blues after starting the season on fire for the Dockers. He is averaging over 26 disposals so far this season and I am expecting him to bounce back after that little dip in form. Returning to WA in front of a home crowd will help and I can’t see him having two quiet matches in a row. In a tough fought midfield battle, I’m expecting him to see plenty of touches this afternoon.
Hawks Prop Bet
I think Luke Breust can continue his good form up front for the Hawks this season. He has kicked 5 goals across the first three rounds and comes into this off the back of a 2 goal performance against the Cats. Arguably comes up against a weaker defensive side here and I think he is a good chance to repeat that performance this afternoon. He loves playing against Freo as well, having kicked 2 or more goals in 8 of the last 9 matches he’s played against the Dockers.
