NBL Round 7 Betting Tips
Adelaide 36ers vs Perth Wildcats (Friday 7:30pm)
The 36ers have dropped their past three games and are now in danger of falling out of touch with the top four if they can’t turn their form around. The Wildcats have also lost a couple of games in recent weeks but a strong start to the season sees them in third place with a 6-3 record. The Wildcats are clearly the better of the two teams in our view and should have no problem getting back on the winners list if they can play anything close to their best basketball.

Melbourne United vs SE Melbourne Phoenix (Saturday 5:30pm)
United had another successful week in Round 6 with two wins from two games. That now makes it four wins on the spin for United, which takes their season record to a positive 5-4. The Phoenix bounced back from a loss to record an emphatic 103-78 win over the Breakers last weekend. Their defence was as tight as ever in what was a very impressive performance for the new club. These teams have already played twice this season with each team taking one. We expect this to be the closest battle yet with Phoenix covering the generous spread.

Cairns Taipans vs Brisbane Bullets (Saturday 8:00pm)
The Taipans were the most disappointing side in Round 6 as they fell at home to the bottom of the ladder Hawks. Snakes fans would’ve been expecting win #3 of the season but the way they played deserved everything but. The Bullets lost their only Round 6 games, which came in the form of 10-point margin to the Kings. The Bullets are now an even 4-4 on the season and have a great opportunity to go back over 500 when they take on the 2-6 Taipans. We think they get it done.
Sydney Kings vs Illawarra Hawks (Sunday 3:00pm)
The Kings continue to impress and further enhance their credentials as championship favourites. They won both of their Round 6 games by double digit margins, which included a 19-point drubbing of the defending champions Perth Wildcats. As mentioned above, the Hawks claimed a win in Round 6 in unexpected fashion. They were 10-point winners over the Taipans in what was another fantastic performance by LaMelo Ball. Unfortunately, we can’t see them making it two on the spin and believe the Kings will win this one very easily at home.
Perth Wildcats vs New Zealand Breakers (Sunday 5:00pm)
The Wildcats will be playing their second game of the round when they host the Breakers on Sunday afternoon. They come into the round in third spot on the ladder and have a chance to regain second if they take advantage of their double-header. The Breakers make their first appearance this weekend on the road. They’ve been fairly disappointing this campaign but have the talent on their roster that gives us hope they’ll turn it around. They don’t have great form, but the 7.5-point line seems a little too big.

SE Melbourne Phoenix vs Adelaide 36ers (Monday 7:30pm)
Both the Phoenix and the 36ers will be playing their second game of Round 6 when they face each other on Monday night. Phoenix have the form and home court advantage on their side here, which we can’t see the 36ers countering. There’s a lot of basketball to be played before this game gets underway, but we’re leaning towards playing the Phoenix line early on. If possible, wait until Saturday night to place your bets on for this one as both sides will have some more form to go off.
