Week 6 of the English Premier League kicks off on Saturday morning with Southampton hosting Bournemouth, but it’s the Saturday night early game between Leicester and Tottenham that we’ll kick off our tips with. Check out our preview for that clash, the Chelsea vs Liverpool fixture plus others below. Good luck to everyone following!
EPL Week 6 Betting Tips
Leicester City vs Tottenham Hotspur (Saturday 9:30pm)
What a match to kick off Saturday night’s proceedings.
Leicester will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing 1-0 loss to Manchester United last weekend. They had plenty of chances and the majority of possession but were unable to capitalise in their final third. The Foxes are currently sitting fifth on the ladder with eight points from five fixtures.
Tottenham put in a big performance last time out to put Crystal Palace away to a tune of four goals to nil. Son Heung-Min was at his tantalising best with a brace inside 23 minutes. The Spurs have been solid to start the season with eight points, but don’t look like they’ll be contenders at this stage.
There’s been a bit of an overcorrection from the bookies as a result of Leicester’s defeat last weekend. They’ve had a good start to the season and have produced two solid results at home. We believe they’re a much better chance to win than their odds suggest.
Burnley vs Norwich City (Sunday 12am)
Not the sexiest of fixtures on this weekend, but one that we believe holds a lot of value with some betting markets.
Burnley are coming off a 1-1 draw away to Brighton last time out. They equalised in stoppage time through Jeff Hendrick to finish level pegging, despite amassing just half the shots of their opponents. The Clarets are currently 14th in the league with five points next to their name.
Norwich scored the biggest upset win on the weekend that we’ll likely see all season. Taking on the 2x defending champions in Manchester City, the newly promoted Norwich went on to win 3-2. Teemu Pukki is having a huge impact for the Canaries and scored his sixth goal from five matches.
Despite pulling off a huge upset over the champs, Norwich come in as the big underdogs away to Burnley. The Canaries have been leaking goals defensively, but they’ve also been scoring their fair share. They’ve scored 2+ in three of their last four Premier League fixtures and we like them to do it again at great odds.

Chelsea vs Liverpool (Monday 1:30am)
Now for the match of the round.
After a torrid start for new manager Frank Lampard, Chelsea responded in a big way on the weekend. They banged in five goals against Wolves at the Mollineux to claim their second win of the season and make it four consecutive matches unbeaten. Tammy Abraham has been a standout with seven goals to date, including a hattrick on the weekend.
Liverpool have had a dream start to the league with five wins from five fixtures, but more importantly, they’re five points clear of the second-placed Manchester City. The Reds were given an early scare on the weekend when Newcastle struck first blood inside seven minutes through Jetro Williams, but Liverpool quickly wrestled back momentum and went on to win 3-1.
The Blues have been scoring goals with ease lately, but they’ve still been conceding at a high rate. This simply won’t cut it against the best in the business, so we expect Liverpool to record a win and make it 6/6 to start the season.
