It’s already Round 12 in the NRL and Origin is just around the corner. We hit on five out of eight bets in last weekend's NRL betting tips and we are back with another slate of tips for all of the Round 12 action below.
Super Rugby Round 14 Betting Tips
Brisbane Broncos vs Parramatta Eels (Thursday, May 24 7:50pm AEST)
On Thursday night, the Broncos and Eels meet at Suncorp Stadium. The Broncos escaped with victory last week and the Eels woeful season continued against the Warriors. After scoring 14.55 points per match, which ranks last in the NRL, Brad Arthur has finally made some key changes. Norman will wear the number 1 and Gutherson moves into the halves. However, it’s hard to see that changing their attack within a week. So in the end, this is a tough match to bet on with not much value for the Broncos to win and the overs/unders could go either way.

Canberra Raiders vs Manly Sea Eagles (Friday, May 25 6:00pm AEST)
NRL football continues with the Raiders playing the Sea Eagles at GIO Stadium in this clash. Both teams are just outside the top eight so this will be a key 2 points on offer. Last week, the Raiders couldn't get past the Dragons in a 7 point loss but it was a decent effort. The Sea Eagles recorded an impressive 24-4 win over the Storm at AAMI Park. These two sides met earlier this season and the Sea Eagles got the better of the Raiders 32-16 at Brookvale Oval, which made it 3 straight against them. So they’re good value to win but the safe bet is both sides scoring over 15 points at CrownBet. It’s 9-0 in this matchup since 2013.

North Queensland Cowboys vs Melbourne Storm (Friday, May 25 7:50pm AEST)
Round 12 continues with the Grand Final re-match as the Cowboys host the Storm at 1300Smiles Stadium on Friday. Last week, the Storm comfortably lost against the Sea Eagles at AAMI Park by 20 points in a very poor performance. However, the return of Cameron Smith is a key difference in this one. They also get Bromwich and Kasiano back in the lineup. So they’re forward pack will be ready to stop the likes of Taumalolo and co. The Cowboys have had a woeful season as they sit 15th on the ladder. They are a poor scoring team (16.45 points per match) and rank 13th in the NRL. While in defence, they are allowing teams to score 22 points on average. They also have an 0-7 record against Melbourne and the last 3 have been by 13+. So happy to take the Storm to rebound.

Sydney Roosters vs Gold Coast Titans (Saturday, May 26 3:00pm AEST)
Central Coast Stadium plays host to the Roosters and the Titans in NRL footy on Saturday. Last round, the Roosters couldn't hold on against the Broncos at Suncorp Stadium in a 6 point loss. The Titans secured 2 points at home with a 7 point victory over the Knights. But the difference in this matchup is the Titans weak defence. They average 26.6 points allowed per match and face a Roosters side stacked with attacking stars. But the Roosters can also give up points. The Titans should be confident after last week, especially after scoring 33 in the day. So I like the overs, which is 5-1 at this venue in the last 6 overall matches.

New Zealand Warriors vs South Sydney Rabbitohs (Saturday, May 26 5:30pm AEST)
Saturday NRL action continues with the Warriors up against the Rabbitohs at Mt Smart Stadium. Both sides are sitting in the top four so this should be a great matchup to watch. The Warriors are coming off a victory over the Eels by 10 points. The Rabbitohs survived last match against the Cowboys by 1 point. The key element in this matchup will be attack. Both teams are scoring over 20 points per match and the first meeting of the season went to the Warriors 32-20. So the both teams to score 13+ points looks great. It’s occurred in the last 3 meetings.

Penrith Panthers vs St George Dragons (Saturday, May 26 7:30pm AEST)
In a battle between arguably the two best sides in the NRL, Saturday night in Penrith will be an interesting affair. Last time out, the Panthers comfortably beat the Tigers at this venue 16-2. The Dragons held on in Round 11 as they beat the Raiders by 7 points. Both sides are showing impressive form in attack. The away side is ranked 1st in the NRL for points scored (27.18) and the home side has scored 22.64 points per match. They also rank 1st and 2nd for points allowed. So in the betting, the Tri Bet at Sportsbet looks like the safe bet because this matchup should be close until the end.

Newcastle Knights vs Cronulla Sharks (Sunday, May 27 2:00pm AEST)
On Sunday afternoon, the Knights and Sharks meet at McDonald Jones Stadium. The Sharks should be confident of victory as they sit 5th on the ladder, compared to the 10th placed Knights. The Sharks are 5-0 in their last 5 matches and have looked impressive. They also get Lewis and Graham back in team news. For the Knights, they have a 2-3 win-loss record in their last 5 matches. Last week, they just couldn't get past the Titans at CBus Super Stadium in a 7 point loss. They are a poor scoring team (18.18 points per match) and rank 11th in the NRL. While in defence, they are allowing teams to score 26.73 points on average. The Sharks are 6-0 against the Knights and 4-2-1 against the line. I don’t see the Knights D stopping the red-hot Sharks.
Wests Tigers vs Canterbury Bulldogs (Sunday, May 27 4:10pm AEST)
In this matchup, the Tigers and Bulldogs face off at ANZ Stadium on Sunday. In regards to ladder position, the Tigers 7th on the ladder and the Bulldogs are sitting 14th. But both sides are pretty average attacking teams so this should be low scoring. They both score under 16 points per match and the last meeting at this venue went the Tigers way 18-12. The under has saluted in 9 of 14 matches at ANZ this season so I’m liking the trend.
