The 2016 Four Nations wraps up this weekend with Australia taking on New Zealand for the title. The Kiwis are the defending champions, but are out of form, while Australia have been looking unbeatable. Continue reading for our Four Nations Preview and Betting Tips.
2016 Four Nations Final Betting Tips
The 2016 Four Nations will be decided by the two teams the majority of people would have predicted to reach the final. The Australians have cruised to the big stage while New Zealand have limped in on the back of a one-point victory over England, a narrow loss to the Kangaroos and an embarrassing draw against Scotland on the weekend. The Australians are the heavy favourites to win the crown back while New Zealand won’t want to give up their title.
The Kiwis will be wanting to make up for their disappointing draw and having the side in the eye of the public and under a lot of scrutiny could work in their favour as it will fire the side up and it could lead to them having a positive performance. Shaun Johnson came under the pump for his lack of creativity but it is the players alongside him that need to step up for him to reach his full potential. Jesse Bromwich and Jason Tuamalaolo are two of the best forwards in the game and they should be dominating the centre of the field and creating a platform for Johnson to excel behind.
Meanwhile the Aussies were back to their best with Cooper Cronk steering the ship. He is one of the best players in the world and is the best at executing a gameplan. Alongside his partner in crime Cameron Smith, the Australians will be almost impossible to defeat if they get a lead. Johnathan Thurston is ending his representative career after the 2017 world cup and he will want to win his final Four Nations tournament. We are predicting this match to be a more one-sided affair than their last meeting as the Aussies will run away with it.
