The NHL continues this Wednesday, the 29th of March with a massive 11 game slate. We take a look at some of the days key games including the ESPN televised Nashville vs Boston below.
NHL Betting Tips - Wednesday, March 29th
Nashville Predators at Boston Bruins (11.00am AEDT)
The Pred’s head north to try and win their fourth game straight as they take on the desperate Bruins team eager for a home game victory. Nashville will play back to back games as they start their road trip in New York against the Islanders Tuesday morning, before heading to Boston for Wednesday’s game. The Pred’s have been dominant on the offensive end, scoring 13 goals in the last three games and only giving up four goals thanks to Rinne protecting the net.
The Eastern Conference standings are tightening up as we come into the last week of regulation games. There are at least six teams who are a chance of securing a wildcard berth, one of those teams are the Bruins, who now are holding the second wildcard spot ahead of the Islanders. The Bruins are 5-5 in past ten and are coming off a victory over the Islanders. Tuukka rask should be back for this game as he withdrew with upper body issue last game. With the pressure mounting on the Bruins, expect to see them battle hard to take this one.

Washington Capitals at Minnesota Wild (12.00pm AEDT)
Just over a week ago questions started to surround the Caps as they struggled to find offense. But just like the best teams do they push through and find another way to win. The Caps have won the last four and are still in control of the overall lead of the league.... Just! Apart from the 4-1 victory over Arizona the Caps have had solid wins over Columbus and Minnesota in recent games.
The Wild were easily the best team in the West just over a month ago and were labelled as one of the teams to beat come April. Now they are second in the west and are seven points behind Chicago with a 2-7-1 record in the past ten. The recent road trip hurt as they lost five games straight and have struggled to stop the bleeding. The Wild need to generate some type of offense and it should start from players like Mikael Grunlund who has four goals in a month and Koivu who has only one goal, and the list goes on. A victory over the Caps could produce confidence they need heading into the playoffs.

Los Angeles Kings at Edmonton Oilers (1.00pm AEDT)
Its starting to look unlikely that the Kings will reach this year's playoffs. Still nine points behind St Louis who recently are putting together back to back wins. With a never say die approach the Kings would still consider themselves a chance for April. But with Quick only playing a handful of games this season and is far from his best with a 5-3-0 record.
The Oilers are closing in with their first playoff appearance in ten years. The team are a narrow three points clear of Calgary who hold the first wildcard spot and are now even with San Jose in the west. They have won the last two against bottom placed Colorado and have had a training run with 11 goals in the past two. With a team full of offense they should find a way to win at home against the Kings.
