Highlanders vs Hurricanes (Friday 5.35pm AEDT)
Round 6 starts with what should be a thriller. Both sides have enjoyed running rugby throughout the season and both sides are also in form. The Highlanders are coming off upsetting the Chiefs and the defending champions the Waratahs, and will now face the undefeated Hurricanes. This match has all the makings for a close battle with their overall record against each other giving the Canes a narrow 12-11 lead. It is hard to pick either way which is shown with the markets giving them even odds. I am going to have to go with the Highlanders as they have beaten stronger sides leading into this match and also are playing in front of a home crowd.
TIP: Highlanders 1-12 @ $2.75 with Sportsbet
Rebels vs Lions (Friday 7.40pm AEDT)
The Lions were outclassed last week by a Crusaders outfit that played its way into form. They struggled to build pressure as errors riddled their game. The Lions had lost three other games but this was the first time they had been blown out of the park. It could be a sign of things to come as motivation slips away from a side that is on the bottom of the South African contest and nearing the end of a road trip. The Rebels however have a lot to play for as they won their second match of the season against the Force and are within finals contention.

Crusaders vs Cheetahs (Saturday 5.35pm AEDT)
The Crusaders returned to the side of old as they ran the Lions off the park last week. At times they were scrappy but with their second win under their belts a lot of pressure would be relieved as they look to get their season back on track. The Cheetahs had a good start to the season but are now slipping away after back-to-back losses. The Crusaders should make easy work of their South African opponents.
TIP: Cheetahs + 18.5 @ $1.90 with Palmerbet
Bulls vs Western Force (Sunday 2.05am AEDT)
The Bulls started their season with two losses before winning back-to-back games. They are coming off a bye and facing a struggling Western Force outfit at home and will be pencilling this match in for a win. The Western Force were impressive in their Round One victory but since then have lost all four. Their backs are up against the wall as they travel to South Africa. However, the Western Force do have a good record against the Bulls with four wins and four losses.
TIP: Bulls 13+ @ $1.73 with Ladbrokes
Sharks vs Cheetahs (Sunday 4.10am AEDT)
This could be the match of the round as the Chiefs are looking to continue a good start to a South African road trip and the Sharks are trying to salvage their season after a poor start. The Sharks have only had two wins this season, and although they were by big score lines, they only beat conference rivals and strugglers the Lions and Cheetahs. The Chiefs however have only suffered a narrow loss and have beaten some big names in the Brumbies and last week defeating the undefeated Stormers.
TIP: Chiefs @ $2 with Sportsbet
Waratahs vs Brumbies (Sunday 4.05pm AEDT)
Another contender for match of the round has the top of the Australian conference battling each other. A win for the Brumbies here will put them three wins ahead of the Waratahs and would be a disastrous outcome for the Waratahs. The Brumbies are coming off a big win in Queensland but will face a much harder challenge this week but the Tahs have been unable to find their feet so far in 2015 and seem to be suffering a hangover from last year’s grand final victory. The loss of Adam Ashley-Cooper is really hurting the NSW side as they are lacking his consistent defensive efforts and the constant havoc his running game produces. Israel Folau and Kurtley Beale will need to step up in this game if they are going to overcome the table topping Brumbies.
TIP: Brumbies @ $2 with Sportsbet
