Greyhound Racing Tips - Thursday August 25th
Sandown Park - Race 2
(1) Warringah Bale won't be huge odds but it might be a nice start early on in the night. He gets the prized red draw and he should be able to position up handy early over the 715m trip for the stayers.
Trained by one of the best trainers in the country (Thomas Dailly), despite the son of Fernando Bale x Parsec Bale having a relatively poor winning strike rate (five of 47), he looks like he will be suited by the rise in distance.
(1) Warringah Bale
$3.10 (3 units)
Angle Park - Race 12
(1) Me Same You has been loving racing over the middle distance of 600m the last month and the 595m race in the last of the night is right up his alley here.
He has drawn well in one and he has been starting quite well his last three starts so although I don't think he has the early pace to lead, he should be able to sit just behind the leader and stalk it throughout.
(1) Me Same You
$3.00 (3 units)
Albion Park - Race 10
(6) Call Me Rip trained by the highly regarded Tony Apap, gets the nod here after four consistent efforts where he finished in the top two.
He can handle any box and did almost win from this draw two starts back when he was second by a nose.
He probably should have won that race but he bounced back to win in another close finish the following week over the 431m distance at Ipswich.
(1) Ablett Hayze is a danger and he has to be respected.
(6) Call Me Rip
$3.00 (2 units)
Hobart - Race 2
(1) Dashing Pippa returns to the middle distance trip of 599m after having a sharpen up over 460m last week (second).
She is one from one over the track & distance and has a tremendous strike rate of 10 wins from 39 starts.
She would have taken a lot of confidence from her August 11 win over this trip and I expect her to run a little quicker this time. A couple of scratchings have slashed her odds which makes it one for the multis.
(2) Frayer’s Ginger is the only danger I think.
Dapto - Race 8
(7) Coast Model races in a quality race here being the TAB Million Dollar Chase Regional Final.
This bitch is usually a pretty reliable beginner and the greyhound next to her in box eight can miss it a bit so she could get a good run to the first bend.
She was beaten a nose in the heat last week but that was in a best of the night run heat and she has a better box here.
(1) Coco Model who won that heat has drawn the red and will start favourite but I think our girl can turn the tables and catch her over the last 50m.
(7) Coast Model
$3.10 (2 units)
Mandurah Race 6
(2) Rage on Zatara has been racing well in free for all company and he has won three of his last four starts with two of those being in best of the night runs.
He is blessed with very good early speed and from box two should lead with the greyhounds next to him unable to match him for early speed.
He is seven from 12 wins over the track & distance and any price better than even money will be overs. Not a lot in the price, but one you can bank in your multis.
