2021-22 NBA Betting Tips: Tuesday 11th January

NBA Betting Tips Tuesday 11th January

We’re now into the second week of 2022 and the exciting NBA season is a hot as ever. Here, we take you through our best spread and player prop bets for the seven-game slate on Tuesday!

NBA Betting Tips: Tuesday, 11th of January

Philadelphia 76ers at Houston Rockets

Toyota Center, 12pm AEDT

The 76ers are in a rich vein of form at the moment with wins in each of their last six games. Having a much healthier roster to play with is certainly helping their cause, even if 3x All-Star Ben Simmons is yet to play a single game this campaign. The 76ers recent winning run has seen them charge into fifth in the East and just 4.5 games behind the #1 seed.

The Rockets managed to break their eight-game losing streak with a thrilling three-point win against the Wizards, but their success was short-lived as they’ve gone onto lose their last two by an average of 21 points. It was always going to be a tough campaign for the rebuilding Rockets who are one of a few teams expected to be busy in the lead-up to the trade deadline.

This is a matchup between arguably the best and worst form teams of the competition in our opinion. The 76ers have won their last three games by an average of 16.3 points and the Rockets have lost their last two by an average of 21 points. On top of that, the 76ers won their only other matchup with the Rockets this season by 20 points. All signs lead to another comfortable win for the visitors.

Philadelphia 76ers -9.5

Cleveland Cavaliers at Sacramento Kings

Golden 1 Center, 2pm AEDT

The Cavaliers put in a rare bad performance in their most recent outing against the Warriors where they managed to put up just 82 points. They aren’t the most prolific scoring team in the competition by any stretch of the imagination, but that was the lowest score of their season to date. Regardless, the Cavaliers have proven to be a consistently dangerous team and currently sit in sixth spot in the East.

The Kings find themselves on yet another losing streak in what’s turning into another wasteful season. They’ve now had five different streaks of 3+ losses this campaign and have only managed to win three in a row on one occasion. As a result, the Kings are 10 games below .500 and look destined to extend their league-high streak for most seasons in a row without a playoff berth.

Both of these teams are coming off poor losses last start, but we’re far more confident in the Cavaliers ability to quickly bounce back. They beat the Kings comfortably in their only other meeting this season and are very nice value to do it once again on Tuesday, even if they’re the visiting side on this occasion.

Cleveland Cavaliers -3.5

Brooklyn Nets at Portland Trail Blazers

Moda Center, 2pm AEDT

The Nets needed overtime to finally dispatch the Spurs in the first leg of a back-to-back on Monday. It was a much-needed win as they had lost four of their last five coming in, which saw them slip to a couple of games behind the Bulls who current lead the East. In line-up news, Kyrie Irving is expected to suit up for his second game of the season on Tuesday.

The Trail Blazers have had a season from hell and it’s only gotten harder in recent weeks with both Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum on the sidelines. Despite that, they were able to pull off an upset win at home to the inconsistent Kings courtesy of another fantastic game by young gun Anfernee Simons. The Trail Blazers are now 15-24 on the season and remarkably, they’re only 4.5 games back from the #8 seed.

These teams are yet to face each other this season but it will be the Nets who start as huge 10.5-point favourites despite being the visitors. The Nets are expected to boast a near full-strength outfit which obviously makes them a scary proposition, but they’re sure to lack chemistry and are also on the second leg of a back-to-back after playing in overtime in their first leg. With all things considered, we’re keen to back the Trail Blazers into keep this close enough to cover the spread.

Portland Trail Blazers +10.5
