The three-game slate in the AFL this Sunday will be capped off by an interesting battle between Carlton and Adelaide from 4.10pm. PuntingInDanger closes out his Round 15 betting tips by taking a look at the Blues vs Crows game below.
AFL Carlton vs Adelaide Betting Tips
Marvel Stadium, Sunday 4.10pm (AEST)
Certainly not the most glamorous of matchups but it’s one that will be an absolute must win for both teams if they have any aspirations of making a miraculous run to the top eight.
Match Prediction
The Blues were disappointing last week, going down by 36 points to the Giants up in Sydney. It marks three straight losses for the Blues, who haven’t won since their 23-point victory over the Hawks all the way back in May.
Injuries have been a concern for the Blues and they’ll still be without the likes of Charlie Curnow, Caleb Marchbank, Mitch McGovern, Lachie Plowman, Levi Casboult and Will Setterfield for the clash on Sunday afternoon.
The Crows will have the added benefit of the extra week off after their bye came in Round 14. The week before, they pulled off one of the great comebacks of the year so far, when they trailed the Saints by 36 points in the 3rd quarter before piling on 7 unanswered goals to win by six points.
The Crows look pretty solid on the injury front at the moment. Matt Crouch is still on the sidelines and hasn’t played a game this season, but the only players from the best 22 who will be with him on the sidelines this weekend will be Tom Lynch, Daniel Talia, Lachlan Murphy and Wayne Milera.
There is some rain forecast for Sunday morning in Melbourne and while it looks like it will be pretty clear come game time, you could expect some residual dampness to be about as the roof will remain open at Marvel due to COVID protocols. This should make moving the ball quickly a bit tougher. The line for this game is pretty high at 172.5, and the potential moisture and the fact that I think these two teams are pretty evenly matched, has me favouring the unders here.

Like the value of Eddie Betts to kick 2+ goals on Sunday, playing back at Marvel where he has played 88 games and booted 133 goals across his career so far. Has kicked 2+ in five of his last seven games. Rory Sloane has passed 20 disposals in seven of his nine games this season, and in the other two games he has had 19 touches. Patty Cripps has missed the 20 disposal mark in just one of his 13 games this season.
